Obviously. 10m on Gray plus wages etc then you'd be happy? Don't you think other positions need filling like say goalie? We do not have a lot of room to manoeuvre plus spending money before you get it like for Jelly, is madness.
Gray isn't £10m, he's £6m + £3m based on promotion, according to most sources. And I didn't say we should spend it, I just said we weren't in danger of falling foul of FFP if we did.
Like I said also, if we spent that amount on him, and I believe the actual figures are higher than that, plus all the other outgoings we have that aren't in the public domain as pointed out by Bob, we'd have very little room for other positions.
Is it? Or do you mean hard to tell if he'll leave? Bruce made comments a few weeks ago that insinuated Diame would go pretty quick when he was fit. Hope he stays until January though.
I think we saw enough of him. Go back and watch the highlights from his first few games and tell me he's no better than Meyler or Huddlestone. Jela and Tom are fit, and are still here, Diame is not.
Diame's in full training, therefore, he'd pass a medical, whether or not that makes him 'fit' I'll leave for you to decide.
You're allowed a £9 million loss in the Championship this season; we've made a £17.5 million profit from transfers. I don't know how bad you are at maths but that means we can spend £26.5 million pounds and still not fall foul of FFP. Whether Allam wants to spend that money is a whole different matter but if he did we'd be complying with FFP.
That makes it even more relevant. The fees paid were massive in 1964-1965 but I think we got value for money for them.
They are not relevant this season. The discussions about FFP seem to be concentrating on a few transfers but we have to look at the other income against wages as well.
