Only in January. OLM might be able to shed better light on this than me, but if we've paid a fee it makes him harder to recall.
Are you related to Benny Boy? Probably not -- you use far fewer asterisks -- but in other respects your style and general demeanor are uncannily similar to his. You poor sod!
Even worse for me. I only see the fez side of the conversation because glp is on mute for whining like a little pussy. Difficult to make sense of fez at the best of times.
This covers it: But on the 22nd March 2014 (pretty much season end) he liked this by Geo10: There is nothing ambiguous about what Geo10 posted, nothing evasive or misleading about ' Livermore stepped out of huddlestones shadow and showed he can still play. The whole midfield got about the pitch without thudd slowing the game/team down.' You 'liked' this, we all use the like function and it is intended to say you agree or find it humorous; it wasn't a humorous post, it was a deliberate knock at Hudds and bit of praise of Livermore and you liked it, now you don't, so we'll have to take everything you now say with a ****ing big pinch of salt. But you beat me, ****ing hell, you beat me, what a star, up there next to the man in the ****ing moon. Enjoy the rest of your day, you can always invent another version tomorrow.
Stats, Stats and more Stats. Here is a man that doesn't like facts. Plain and simple. Next he's going to pull up a text message from his best mate and declare it as fact that Livermore is the best player on the planet because his best mate says so in a text no less. I'll wait for the text message unveiling tomorrow. I can't wait. No really.
No thread for tonight's games? Ok may as well add to this one seeing as this is a free for all. Brighton off to a flyer. Middlesbrough winning "battle of bookies faves" at half time.
You keep mixing up stats with facts, you can't see that when making a judgment it is wise to use every shred of evidence available to you. In Geo10's case he used his on-going experience of having watched the games and, I would think, his on-going experience of looking at stats and game reports; he didn't just rely on stats, he used his overall experience of watching football, our games in particular - the crazy thing is you 'liked' it, you thought him correct, you thought his post deserved praise, as you don't like them all, do you - or is that stat false? You've got it wrong and haven't got the balls to admit it, instead you chose to make it personal with me and it just isn't working, is it? What's this nonsense about a text message from my mate - have you lost the plot, or are you simply a fool and a liar? But let us be hypothetical shall we - if I were to post about a text from my mate, I will guarantee that I will post the same version in 5 months time, or openly admit I got it wrong. Throww away the shovel, I've given you loads of opportunities to end this and you keep on shooting your mouth off - but that's what kids do, so I don't blame you.
Isn't transfer fee amortisation negative? If we make a profit on selling a player over the unamortised part of the buying fee then although that is classed as capital I suppose it would form part of the FFP figures.
I'm ****ed if I'm reading through this lot to try to make sense, but fez and glp, let it go and move on. This thread's supposed to be for transfer speculation.
As I've been brought in to this other than goals scored for strikers, I look at stats but very very often don't quote them or rely on them if ever as I don't feel they prove a great deal (of course others will shoot me down) I form my opinion and views on experience and what I see. The stats probably quote meyler runs more than most, would I have him in my team...no he gives the ball away to much
I agree....................... just had a quick look and f$£k that should have a new thread for unwinnable and pointless arguments, another for spell$$g boll++s and another for complete F$ckwits and then keep this for transfer news/speculation...... which i like to read a lot of opinions or ideas or gossip.............
The important accounting treatments used are that when a player is purchased the fee is capitalised to the Balance Sheet and then amortised through the Profit and Loss account over the length of their contract. When a player is sold the fee received is taken immediately to the Profit and Loss account alongside any Net Book Value that remains for that player on the Balance Sheet.....so yes your correct
