The South African Department of Justice have just announced that they're putting his release on hold, he won't be out on Friday after all.
I can put up with your constant bickering on the transfer thread, but this is a straight red offence. That joke has had more blood squeezed out of it in the past two years than, er, Reeva Steenkamp.
He's being released on Tuesday.
He'll still be under house arrest and has to go back for the appeal on Nov 3rd.

Oscar Pistorius is now a convicted murderer after his conviction of culpable homicide was overturned and replaced with murder.
South Africa's Supreme Court has granted an appeal by state prosecutors seeking a murder conviction for Pistorius.
He will be re-sentenced for murder.

Strange overturn - officially it is being stated that original judge is considered to have erred in her decision. I did not know that it was possible to have an erring judge - Guilty or Innocent doesn't seem to mean much if the judge can be considered to have erred. Must she now retire as being someone of dubious mental faculties?
Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail & won't have to spend Christmas in jail as he waits to be sentenced for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp.
His bail was set at 10,000 Rand, which is £457.

Apparently he was asked if he had a new line of defence. "Nope" he replied, "I'm well and truly stumped".
