At an injunction hearing at Leeds County Court, SMC director Ehab Allam revealed he was considering sub-letting the arena to the Tigers Sport and Education Trust.

He said the idea was aimed at reversing financial losses at the SMC.

Because of its status as a charity, the trust would be able to claim rate relief on the building.

"We are looking to sub-let to the Tigers Trust once these proceedings are concluded," said Mr Allam.

"Sub-letting would ensure 80 per cent rate relief, saving £100,000 a year.

"The business plan is to sub-let the arena in its entirety."

Is this the same Ehab Allam who said earlier that they didn't have a business plan as he didn't like complicated words? How can anyone defend these people?

Judge will give draft judgement only to HCC/SMC under embargo end of next week. Full judgement published mid-Sept.

It seems that since 1,000 users were kicked out, City have only actually used the facility on three occasions. Some of those kicked out have not found new homes, there's no elite trampolining facilities in Hull now and the televised netball team still haven't got a new home.

Since when has using the wrong word anything to do with spelling?
It was the right word it just had 2 letters and a ' missing. Therefore, not spelt correctly.

Yes that above was on purpose.

It's nice that you and ****ron prefer discussing this than the real issues at the moment.

It was the wrong word, Happy. As you know. To be fair it could have been predictive text and you didn't notice. That has happened to better people than yourself. Myself for example.

Yes. It was. It was still obvious what I meant and didn't warrant a handful of posts about it

it was not only a typo as you used the wrong word but also the wrong use of English - you meant to say the 'Council aren't' - the Council is singular and should be the 'Council isn't' <laugh>
