I'm amazed at some of the responses on here and it shows a real lack of understanding regards to mental health. I met Jake before his tragic loss and can honestly say he was one of the nicest guys (not just footballers) I have met - He took genuine time to talk to my son who came away amazed that a Pro footballer was interested in who he played for etc. I hope that Jake can come to terms with himself and that he can move forwards. As anyone who has suffered depression knows, you are never "Cured", it can always be like a dark cloud on the horizon.
Losing a child is devastating, thank God we are, by and large, human beings and we all react differently; those unravelling this sorry story will, hopefully, add compassion into their judgment. I think reaction would be fearful if it was found out he was a previous user and this was a poorly found excuse. There cannot be a timescale imposed, but there should also be a reasonable expectation of closure.
My mother lost a young child (before i was born) who would have been my sister, it took her many many years to get over it and she was quite a strong character.
£6k to Huddlestones cancer charity after kicking the camera at WBA was more than decent! http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-s-Jake-Livermore-12-000-goal/story-20353872-detail/story.html
A fanny? Sorry, it's been a long day, hope Jake gets the help he needs anyway or should have been getting even
Pretty sure I was critical of Bruce's comments condemning Livermore.. read my posts more carefully before being so eager to criticise me.
You live and learn, it's too easy to jump to conclusions without having facts to hand, and we are all guilty of it at times. I got on my high horse yesterday for the reason that I was disappointed with how the football turned out last season and it's easy to blame certain individuals like Livermore. At the end of the day it's only a game and I wouldn't want to see somebodies life ruined even if they have made some mistakes which affect everybody who supports Hull City, so fingers crossed Jake gets the help he needs
