I'm surprised he played at all! I wonder if he informed the club about his loss...it doesn't sound like it. That kind of loss is very hard to deal with for anyone but maybe he wanted to play to help forget about the situation....and maybe it didn't work so going on a bender was his last resort! And I don't blame him for doing so....his head must have been all over the place! If he wasn't playing and did take coke then he'd be looking at a much shorter ban! So if the club did know about his loss why did they let him play? The FA and City need to do the right thing here in any case.
Let's hope they don't give in to that pressure then. I didn't even realize it was a year ago he lost his baby. Sorry not a good enough excuse for me. 2 year ban stick to it. Make him take responsibility for his actions. Jenas is pfa snt he? Trying anything to get a client off. Nope
After we were relegated, in part due to below par performances from JL, although it may have felt like it at the time, no one died.
As a parent the idea of losing a child is the biggest fear you have and I can't even start to think about how I'd deal with it so for that alone Jake is forgiven and should be welcomed back to the team and given all the help he requires.
Well, I'm happy it worked out well for you, really. But your original post still made you sound like a pompous old bugger, which I'm sure you're not.
**** me......it really shouldn't change things, but for me it puts a whole different spin on the case, that's the worst thing that can happen to anyone, and if he's dealing with depression I think comments come have made about him needing help and support rather than being abandoned and disowned could well be right, how this plays out now may be interesting to follow
On the evidence that is being put forward I would obviously support Jake Livermore, I truly hope that he goes on to prove that I, along with others, weren't misguided.
Doe's anyone know if a ban will be retrospective and take into account the time he's already been suspended ?
That's right, it's the manager fault if a player can't take responsibility for his own actions and grief like a grown man should., great logic there.I'm more pissed off having spent a fortune watching a unprofessional player all season help get us relegated. Everybody has to cope with grief and loss, taking cocaine as a professional sportsman is idiotic
Also in terms of football, it's well-documented how when players have a tragedy like this then their team-mates rally around them, if they didn't do this with Livermore maybe it's for a reason, i.e. they know he's a bit of a knob? One example: http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/local-news/colin-cooper-wife-julie-open-3676082 Livermore gave pre-match interviews on Youtube last season and my impression of him was that he was a bit of a smarmy git, so if he was having these 'major grief issues' he was hiding it well, also other people have said about him being spotted at the casino round here
Another thing, all this time he's coked up he's driving around the area in his sports car, a Lamborghini, putting the public at risk, sorry got no time for the fella at all, he gets the worlds smallest violin from me I'm afraid, sorry for his loss but everybody has to deal with these things, losses, cancer, whatever
You have absolutely no idea if he ever got in his car after doing coke, or whether he's a cock and going to the casino isn't a reflection of anything, give your ****ing head a shake.
