Jela and Hernandez both want moves and I think their exits are inevitable. Torino are on about offering 8m euros for Abel, that would all but pay for Gray. Once the pair move on, I'd want another forward in and more to be honest
To an extent I agree, although I reckon they're working hard at moving Hernandez on, and Jelavic may yet leave too. CM is definitely an area lacking in depth - unless Brucey feels both Dixon and Clark are ready to play. The Maloney interest shows the need for an attacking midfielder (and he could play LW too - see below). If Snodgrass ever makes it back to his 2013/14 level, I wonder where he'd fit in - cutting in off the right is his natural home, but we seem set there with Odubajo and Elmo. Similarly, down the left there are Townsend and Clark as LB cover IF Brucey has confidence in them, and Aluko is another LW option.
Only we're not offering £9m for anyone, it doesn't even look like we've bid the £7m that's been rumoured. It's pointless quoting the headline figure, we'd only pay it if we were in the Premier League.
in my opinion we need a box to box midfielder and a forward we all know, its essential that we add pace to the team in both of these positions, after watching city against Huddersfield then again last night our build up play is to slow, were ok down the wings but in the middle play as got to speed up much quicker, lets not forget Huddersfield had a couple of forwards missing on Saturday and looked like a struggling side. We will get more of an idea of how good we are against a much stronger Wolves side, the team isnt far off but at the moment it needs that little bit extra to become a top six side
I made a huge error in a Spa once - used my card to buy petrol and it got cloned - someone in Poland nicked 80 quid off me
****! I started to reply to you yesterday with a snide comment but then decided I was being a twat so I stopped mid-sentence and got on with life. And today my tablet remembered the quote and sneakily inserted it when I replied to Hat! Conclusion: my tablet is an even bigger twat than I am.
Totally agree with you regards the box to box midfielder, someone from the Ashbee school of football, Hudds ok on the ball, but by the time he arrives at a tackle the ball and player been gone 10 minutes.
I'm not forgetting them, but we have no idea how they will be after serious injuries. Diame if he gets fit may want to leave in January anyway and Snodgrass has been out for even longer and may take longer to get back to his best. And hoping neither continues to have injury problems but you can't rule that out.
I don't think there's much in it. Wickham could be a very good striker and I'm sure he would be at our level
Very much doubt we will see Diame in the championship, just get the impression it below him to turn out in it.
That was on where he played, I would think if we suggested to him we'd organise a move for him in January if he gave his all in the interim we might be able to get him to help us out.
Don't get me wrong, would love to see him turn out for city in the championship, just feel with him at the moment it will always be " a week away"
