Unfortunately the current score takes the Goons off the bottom of the table.
Heres hoping for Brunt to swing in a corner and Lescott power header.

Good for him - no whingeing about having to choose his players.....Pre Match interviews
West Brom head coach Tony Pulis: "I've always worked with the material I am given and that's always been my philosophy, to try to squeeze everything out of everybody. The club has a good structure and we haven't made too many changes but most things are in place."
I'm about puzzled to why toure has been credited with the first goal, he had a shot to which Silva purposely flicked it (on target) towards goal, so has to be Silva's goal (no dream team bias)![]()
Once Sterling/Aguero/Silva link up and you have Toure back to his best then they will simply destroy teams this season. Yes they are prone to losing cheap goals and dropping silly points but you can already see that they are going to be scoring for fun.

I don;t think the issue is their quality on any given day, but their motivation. Most of them have won it twice and don't have an SAF type manager telling them they want to be serial winners. Toure went missing at times last season, Kompany had a few injuries and a few lapses and many of their core players are pushing 30. Sterling gives them some pace, but I'm not convinced they will be consistently good throughout the season. And will the CL be more of a priority?
I wonder if opta Joe will credit Silva there for, he will probably give that to toure as well![]()
They do have an obsession with trying to improve in the CL but remember Toure was pushed back last season, whereas before he was played as an attacking mid and when he plays as a DM his style of play allows him to be criticised quite easily, as we see a big brute of a man strolling around leaving gaps, push him forward and he is fantastic.
Yeah, it works when they're playing against lesser sides but I just don't see why Pellegrini keeps persisting with such attacking sides against quality opposition in the CL.
Would their chances improve if they changed system/setup? I just feel the top European teams can pick our top teams apart, regardless of system but Klopp is watching, him or Pep to be their next manager?
