You could argue that all 3 of those outgoing players are better than the incoming so it's not really like for like. Plus saving another million here or there might be the difference between us able to afford another decent loan player or not.
Made some good films at the Studios there - mostly farces (comedies) and fantasy ("Alice in Wonderland"). Hope it doesn't rub off on the Gazette
Why would we trigger the release clause and allegedly agree terms with Moses and drag him up here for a medical then go back on it if we carnt agree a fee for Andre. Doesn't make sense at all and seems harsh on moses surley you agree a deal/fee first. hopefully it's as people are saying about how the deal is structured for both rather than 1
Agree.. If he passed a medical, we agreed terms and as of yesterday we just needed to complete the paperwork... surely we'll be rushing it through as quickly as possible so another club doesnt come in for him at the last minute. There is no good reason to sit on the deal waiting for Gray to sign..
We already sorted out the 21 day thing, Yorkshire Post and the HDM reported this morning that Brentford waived that clause.
We are trying to help them screw Luton out of a sell on fee to lower the price we have to pay. That's the rational for the double deal.
Would be hilarious (though a bit obvious) if Brentford announced we paid £9m for Moses and £1m for Gray
That would be a stupid thing to do elle - the Allams have had enough bad press with their idiotic tactics. If such a scheme ever got out, no club would ever deal with them again. I go so far as to suggest it'd be viewed as fraudulent business practise.
Couldn't they just say we agreed the deal how brentford wanted it, the deal between brentford and Luton Is exactly that
It wouldn't be anything to do with us though. We'd just pay £10m for the pair, they'd divide it up however they see fit
I don't think this is likely at all, the sell-on is nothing to do with us and they couldn't realistically fiddle enough to make a significant difference.
Think Luton have a 20% sell on fee, if Orient only have 10%. Few hundred grand though to say the deal is £6m and £4m instead of £7m and £3m
I highly doubt it would be us who are insisting on the double deal, it will definitely be Brentford so they can fiddle it so that they don't have to pay as much to Luton. Why would a double deal benefit us or even mean anything to us? It wouldn't, it has to be Brentford..
Brentford don't even want to sell Gray, it was us who told the YP it needed to be both, it's obviously not down to Brentford.
