Hey Steve I understand that once the fee for Brady goes through then funds will be available. The larker from Brentford is still on the cards although early days.
He didn't actually play left wing last season, he played the first part of the season at left back and the second half as a striker. He scored 3 in the FA Cup as well.
Might as well mention it. This is now the most replied to thread on this board ever. Not bad for a transfer thread with no signings.
If there had been signings, we wouldn't get people coming on here and telling us there are no signings every 5 minutes
If we had signings, we would've broken that a lot earlier as people would've been talking about the signings rather than the lack of them.
Brady is without a shadow of doubt our most expendable asset. He's a good player but he never beats his man and therefore crosses from far too deep and makes us highly predictable and on top of this if he stayed he'd delay the progress of Robertson, who is potentially much better. To sell him at the best part of 300% profit would make it a brilliant deal for us.
Yep. I think the mods should close it and start a new one. Plus do one on individual players who we look likely to sign like Clucas. Now we are actually going to be signing players.
The only probably I have with this deal is that had the boot been on the over foot, we would have ended up paying £8M for someone of Brady's quality.
And what has Huddlestone done? He's more central and should have a better view of the goal for shots. I think Elmo is more inconsistent with his crossing considering he gets so much much practice at doing it with the passes out to him. I think it's highly questionable to say that Robertson puts better crosses in, because I really haven't seen that. Robertson is more about the hope that he will become better.
couldn't agree more look at last season got a good price for long then wasted It on hernandez, when you look at the small margin of staying up or going down then that alone was enough to send us down that's without all the other reasons.
Isn't part of the Brady money wiping off what we owe them for Snodgrass? Or is it 7m plus that cash being wiped?
They'll probably only actually pay half, with the rest being the write-off of what we still owe on Snodgrass.
Like Snodgrass then, although I rate him a lot more than Brady. So as it's an (almost) swap deal, I think we've come out on top.
