Haha, he is going to be a junior, and by all accounts is refusing to leave Stanford to go pro. He has been the top college player for 2 years and has some call ups to the USMNT under his belt and goals. He has looked the real deal in his USMNT games that I have seen. I have read some articles online that say that the word is that he intends to play in Europe after Stanford and that is one of the reasons he is turning down Seattle that the MLS isn't enough of an incentive to get him to leave early. He has type one diabetes and some times has to eat candy during games to get his blood sugar up, which hasn't seemed to effect him so far. I'll log in to my computer to link a video of him, not that we will make a move to get him on trial.

These are probably the top 2 striker prospects for the USMNT.

    Jordan Morris goal vs mexico

Bobby Wood goal vs netherlands and germany

Diame likely to be with us until the New Year after his injury, if he goes in the January transfer window then he can be replaced hopefully at this time. In the meantime we need someone to replace Livermore.

Please do enlighten this thread with more transfer bullshit. We only have 149 pages of it so far, with your input it would just about be complete.

It's Bestikas I don't know why he is being so secretive about it.

Why are clubs refusing to pay upfront? Probably because it seems like that's how most deals are done now days.

They prefer to pay through the back door.

I thought we obviously weren't making any signings until more players were sold?

He is on a FAT. I presume the sale of Ince enabled us to afford his wages.

I would certainly hope his wages aren't that high.

You're the one implying that if not for Ince's sale we wouldn't be able to afford Palacios' wages.

Also, the way you generally post makes that question rather ironic.

As we had already moved Harper, Figueroa, Sagbo, Rosenior and McShane on, it would be alarming if those saved wages weren't enough to bring in a few FAT's like Palacios. Suggesting that we can now move for him due to the sale of Ince is ridiculously moronic.

It's pretty clear the club didn't expect relegation and has had to do a mad dash to refocus on affordable targets.

Presumably he will have wanted a fairly low buy out clause when he came, and doesn't want to be in the Championship, but I don't think we will get better than him for less than £4m so it's not good business in isolation IMO
