Clasie and Praet at a guess.

Both seem like quality players who would fit the profile for the kind of signings we make.

If not them then maybe Virgl van Dijk, Sven van Beek or maybe even Hertz van Rental

Won't read too much into what Fonte says...you can never say never in life (especially football life), but I am not taking it as him leaving this season or even next. My guess is that he will end up back in Portugal...though he did mention recently that his child/children (?) are English. I have no doubt he will still be young enough to play when his career finishes with us.

I think it will be a season or two.

I don't see any way that Clasie isn't one of them. No idea on our CB target.

Without wishing to dampen spirits, I can't see how Fonte would have any sort of knowledge on how close we are on transfers or who the individuals concerned are.

He's almost certainly talking more generally (Koeman has probably told the squad that there will be a couple of quality additions to come). It would be very lax of the squad to have players aware of any wish list or negotiations.

I'm still hoping we meet the buyout clause for krychowiak. He's class. I think Sevilla will sell if a club meets it.
Also, we could learn a thing or two from how they've handled his contract. Stick a high buy-out clause, don't negotiate with anyone unless it's met. Job done.
