But that's just an assumption. If nobody comes in for N'Doye this Summer, do you think he'd be unprofessional and kick up a fuss? I don't think he's unhappy here; I'm sure a lot of players were disappointed that we went down, it doesn't mean that they're going to be dicks about it. He might be happy playing for a Championship team until he gets a better team elsewhere.
I suppose it depends on what you mean by significant investment. I don't expect us to spend a great deal and I don't expect us to get promoted. I admire your optimism but I can't share it. TWT, as always.
Ince, Quinn and Rosenior. For me, that's our best winger, best central midfielder and best right-back. Of course, you may disagree.
You said "N'Doye will not be happy playing in the Championship", which suggests you're just speculating.
Does it? Looks like a statement of fact to me, which is what it was supposed to be, apologies if I didn't make that clear.
Fair enough, it's just how I read it. Had you said something like "N'Doye ISN'T happy", it would've implied fact. Either way, 50k a week in wages is going to be a sticking point for the level of club that might be interested in him, unless he drops his rumoured wage demnads, he might be around come the start of the season.
He might be, I'd be very surprised if he's here when the window closes though, and I certainly hope he isn't.
What is (was) he on with us. In sure Brucie said he took a massive wage cut to join. Or am I just making that up?
A while back there was a report that Swansea were willing to match his 50k per week wages, so maybe he was on that?
By Championship standards I think we will spend a bit. Allam wants to sell the club at a guess - or at least I hope he does. We've got players here that we want to keep who are too good for this division. What is clear is that by wanting to keep these players, we want to be back in the PL. If that means a couple of high calibre signings mixed with some decent loans then that will be ok. I really would focus on a prolific front line two decent money signings Gray/Rhodes with an ALF and a free Cole, Whittingham. A midfielder on loan and a Keeper on loan.
We may spend say £6 million, but when you consider that we're going to need 8/9 players, that really isn't very much. Talk of Rhodes is just laughable. Brentford will probably be after £6 million for Gray, which is more than we just sold a more prolific winger who was younger than him for. Whittingham wouldn't be available for free, Cardiff would want a fair wad for him I would expect.
1-2 million was mentioned on here. Cardiff fans seem to be keen to let him leave as they think he is passed it.
I am a very cr@p speller Mr Akbar so I use the 'spellchecker' (easily attached to your posts) which I heartily recommend.
118 pages of bullshit. heh the window has only been open for a week or so. Apart from Ince (which we all knew about anyway)McG, Rosssssssssssie and McShame, **** all is happening! comon SB get your targets early, then you have more chance of getting them, else we will be left with the dregs no one wants!
