Disagree with this, unless a Swansea, Stoke, Southampton type came in for any of them. Jumping ship on a 3 year contract to a side likely to be relegated (Norwich, Watford, Sunderland, Leicester, WBA etc) wouldn't make a particularly great career move, and neither would having back to back relegations on your CV; you might as well wait until January, see how the land lies and be in a stronger personal position to either extend a deal for a side hopefully challenging to get back into the Premier League or jump ship for big money either then or in the summer.
Let me also say that since when is loyalty career stupidity. Let's be honest they are all rich, sure with a 50% relegation clause they will be less rich but they are still going to be rich. One can still buy bread on 20,000 a week. There is nothing about staying at a club for your entire career that is career stupidity. One does not contemplate in their dieing moments about that one time 50 years prior that they played on the bench for a Man U.
As usual, if there was anything in James Wilsons availability, we've now blown it by letting it get leaked out, and alerting all of the lower half Premier League teams to chase his signature too.
The vision was based on getting people to renew their passes - how many would have renewed if they had come out and said we are going to consolidate our position in the championship or they had come out and said the first priority is for us to sell as many of the team as possible so we can get our money back
How do you know this? The transfer window only opened yesterday and it's obvious we need to sell before we can buy.
Congrats Chazz, you just won a certificate from the Billy ****ing Connolly School of ****ing Message ****ing Board ****ing posters.
