the board have all ways acted in the best interest of the club just as when Sven blamed the pitch they spent £50k to relay the playing surface. I cannot believe they have taken this decision lightly. i really couldn't believe it took 3 weeks to sack the 3 players, i would have done it within days not weeks what was the to consider??????..
as to who comes next big name, has been or exciting new prospect as manager? thank god its not down to us to choose. I do however genuinely believe the board will appoint the best manager they can. i for one will give them time after all the great escape was fantastic and who in all honesty would like to be in the same position next season with 10 games to go?

... you have a tendency to assert your opinions as 'fact' ... happy for him to have acheived legendary status with you Proud but he doesn't for me and I suspect plenty of others ... and with all due respect, age does come into it ... now let's look at the facts ...

2 League titles ... League 1! - for which he is the only Leicester City manager in our history that could possibly have won it! ... because we have only ever been in the third tier of British football for that season ... legend status for that? ... not for me I'm afraid ... with Mandaric's financial backing and only Leeds Utd as 'real' rivals I expected us to at least get promoted ... job done efficiently .. legendary? not for me mate ...

Championship title ... we have won it a 'record' seven times in our history ... can you name the other 6 'legendary' managers? ... I can't (although I have lived through 5 of those - which is why the age thing is relevant)...

Broken pretty much every club record? ... not the ones that really count for me I'm afraid ... like winning a cup or acheiving our highest top flight finish (which would of course result in us winning the 'real' title <laugh>) ...

Yes it was a fabulous escape last season and I really enjoyed the ride ... and I'm very happy for you to view him as a club legend ... but I don't ... and no matter how much you continue to assert that he is one there will be older fans like me that can put his tenure into perspective in terms of our history ...

I think some are over-reacting (perhaps not just Leicester fans)

"Well that's relegation for us next season"
"It's the end of the World as we know it"
"We'll get John Carver and go straight back down"

    Next appointment is crucial.
I'm not saying that they would manage us, but look at some of the names on that list who are even being touted as possible.
Some of them really excite me... Others, less so...

Let's see how ambitious our owners are.

But with Premier League football next season, owners who have shown themselves to be classy, who have made no secret of their ambitions and desire of where they want Leicester to be...

They know what they are doing (they have so far)

    Keep the faith.

[For the record, I am a massive Pearson fan, and slightly gutted he has left... But we move on...]

I just don't think Pearson could have really done much more with us, in the time that he has spent here.

But, perhaps our more recent memories of Craig Levein, Ian Holloway, Gary Megson et al have somewhat blurred our judgement.

... would disagree strongly ... his antics last season are more likely to have breached at least the club's 'values' if not documented expected conduct / behaviour rules (and recommendations) and exposed him to potential disciplinary measures ... and again you make statements as if you are a witness to events or discussions ... I very much doubt that the owners have sacked Nigel Pearson purely because he is related to James Pearson ... naiive...

Have you been reading twitter conspiracies again from those ever so reliable itk sources?

although im not happy about it, the owners have been top class to the fans and the managers that have been here during their time.

They would only have done this if they had no alternative, as they had already put faith behind him previously. It could be argued that any other club that were bottom in March would have rolled the dice and sacked him.

I will continue to support them as they have invested into the squad, behind the scenes and even the fans. These owners dont see the supporters as cash cows like the likes of Mike Ashley does, they actually appreciate our support.

Like everyone in here I'm also shocked and disappointed, though most probably the reason is because of his son's controversy, hoping Pearson will find a new club that wouldn't judge him

Interested to hear where they got this info from, no way Pearson will be saying anything to the press in regards to any of this and the club won't say anything.

Also, why would the odds on him being sacked plummet if it was "out of the blue"

From an outsiders perspective I think it's a good move for you lot. I think the premiership was above his capability. He couldn't handle the pressure and always seemed a hair away from having a breakdown. He's a total joke of a man the arrogant way he talks in interviews. He thinks he's a real hard man but he just looks pathetic. He is damaging to the image of your club.

On the football side of things he did a good job for you lot, but do you really think he is capable of anything more than a relegation fight and maybe getting lucky and staying up? If you bring in someone of a higher quality during the summer you could really push on. Pearson to me comes across as a manager who would do a good job in the gritty lower leagues but isn't of the calibre to manage at the top table.

There was obviously a gap between Pearson being informed and Leicester issuing the statement, during which time the word would have got round the staff at Leicester, it's not surprising that word got out, the bookies were obviously aware of it.

So was Nige sacked with no prior warning or not? Or are you, in fact, talking out of your arse? Again.

Nigel Pearson: Leicester boss's sacking linked to son's actions http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33339566

Also note the day he got sacked - last day of June. I bet that this had to do with the timing as that is when contracts officially end for players so I don't think this was spur of the moment thing.

    I agree with you 100%.

I would prefer he stayed but can understand why he hasn't. I won't be protesting or condemning the owners as they have done 10x more for us then against us.

The tweet that says he was sacked with no prior warning wasn't mine, it was Sky Sports, you can tell by the fact it says Sky Sports News HQ ‏@SkySportsNewsHQ at the top.

I obviously don't have a clue what actually happened.

    Hope this helps. <ok>
