I don't normally watch two foreign teams play football but as we are starved of excitement at the moment thought I'd give the Champ League final a look. Not a bad match in the most part but one thing got me once more with top class football, or supposed top class football. What a load of cheating diving, rolling about on the floor bunch of barstewards they all are. It's bleddy cheating and where it is shown on tv by the cameras that it is cheating then the football people should do something about it. If you can ban a player after trial by TV for an off the ball incident the Ref doesn't see then why can't you do the same for diving and feigning injury. Suarez would only play a few times a season if they did. He is really a fantastic striker let down badly by his antics. He wasn't the only one but he was probably the worst. Closely followed by Alves. If I ever needed a reason not to watch these matches then tonights dive fest was probably it.

Oi you!!! I'm back. Happy birthday Mrs J. Coming down the motorway today we stopped off at Gordano for a comfort break. It was full of women doing parties for birthdays with a nought on the end and hen parties. What a rowdy bunch they were and all heading for Minehead and Butlins. Should be quiet in Liverpool and Wales this weekend and the opposite in Somerset me thinks. Hope you are a bit more demure than that madam.

I hope you helped yourself to a bag of nuts before you went out. I'll pay for them if you did as you should never booze on an empty stomach. Have a great night.

I know plym, I got to where I was going on Monday, took my wallet out of the strongbox I carry in my boxers and there it was on the bit of string just dangling there. It was too late to hand it in so I had to put it back.

It was one hell of a party once the others left Mrs J. I did have a bag of vintage nuts which were a bit pricey. Oh and the crate of champers must have been a bob or two.

Joe you are definately on a sticky wicket there. It's a Mobility "Scooter" not a Cart.

Did anyone watch the England match today? Wasn't a bad game in the second half after a bit of a flat first half. I just love the commentators when they make excuses for these overpaid super stars missing a sitter. "Wrong foot"?????? What the F*** is that supposed to mean? Somebody paid £300k a week and they only have one foot? Rooney should have had a hattrick and Sterling can't finish a doughnut. But, a win is a win.

I can only assume that Rooney gets £300K a week because he's got more than two feet....not just one good one and another so so.

He missed some easy ones yesterday....not even hitting the target from in front of goal.

With him being on the verge of beating Sir Bobby Charlton's 49 goal record people are getting excited.....it leaves me wondering how anyone can mention Rooney's name in the same sentence as Charlton or Gary Lineker to be honest.

He scores one or two good goals a season but other than that he is very average in my opinion.

Rooney gets paid £1785.71 every hour of the week....how can he be worth that......and his team mate at Man U Falcao isn't far behind that, and he is a total flop..... his parent club our desperate to get rid of him...they can't afford him....looks like he is going to Chelsea for another year on loan....the question is will he get regular football there ....I doubt it.

PS.....Rooney scored only 12 league goals last season.....ten others scored more than that.

Telegraph Sport have on there front page....."Captain Marvel".....what is that all about, weren't they watching the same match as me.

I never watched the game yesterday but saw some highlights. if that is what they were and read the drivel on BBc sport. Agreed Rooney is not the best about.. Sterling is not worth what they are offering? Just greed.. I see Chelsea have signed that flop Foul cow!

Just read a story on the beeb football site about Stan Bowles being diagnosed with Alzheimers. Remember him back in the day and what a fabulous footballer he was as well. If he was around today with modern ideology and fitness etc he would have been worth some pennies. Such a shame when I hear about players like him ending up like that. It's a terrible disease for anyone though and no matter how famous you either are or were it takes no prisoners.
