It's been one of those bleddy knackering weeks this week. Darn elections meant my grandaughter's school was being used as a polling station today so we had 2 of them. Couldn't be the eldest who sits on a machine all day. No had to be the youngest two who are loosely related to Whirling Dervishes. I actually had to get out of bed at 8am this morning and we had them till nearly 4pm. I'm more than knackered now having been a swing pusher, troll guarding his bridge and patient being bandaged from head to foot. Took them to the polling station where I was apparently hypnotised into voting the way young Charlotte instructed me to. She is miffed that the Royals have nicked her name by the way and reckons they should find one of their own.

I'm now in danger of becoming an alcoholic due to the need of a stiff drink once more. I'm getting too old for all this.

Know how you feel sensible....we had one from 9am and another from 3pm, who we picked up from school and had them both till 7pm.

The older one (10 yrs old) spent two hours on here doing an election project for school.

Don't see you in the bar that often BC. Mine's a pint cheers....

I don't have to referee them much to be fair but getting them to listen when told something is a different game altogether. The youngest is 6 and has a tendancy to go stone deaf when she wants to. Training to be a grown up female I think. Thing is I'm getting older and they have energy to burn. It takes me several days to get over it these days.

oh well, have now been awake for 41 hours (24 of which were watching the election coverage) time for a swift one then bed. Need to prepare for the family outing to Home Park tomorrow. An absolutely riveting election results night with a stunning result. Just shows that most people living in the UK are conservative (with a small c)-or at least our voting system makes it seem that way.

I think it has more to do with not wanting to be ruled from the Highlands. That and not believing Ed when he said he would not get into bed with that woman. He's a babe magnet according to the News on the beeb so he was bound to eventually. I couldn't stay up all night these days but I do watch it into the small hours. Trust Exeter to spoil the colour scheme......

Give me a tripple bar person I need something strong. God give me bleddy strength. Only in the UK could an audience vote a dog £250k rather than put it on the menu. No wonder the rest of the World thinks we are barking mad.

Britains Got Talent Joe. A bleddy dog wins it if you can believe that. If it ever goes on holiday to the Philipines it will be the most expensive burger on the menu.

It's on my TV so I can't avoid it. She who must have the remote watches it. I daren't complain as she beats me with my lead if I do.

I have never watched Big Brother but I've read on other sites that this Pie Face is on it. He was previously on Deal or no Deal apparently so he is a serial contestant it seems. The other sites seem to think he is just ripe for taking the michael out of him. One poster is almost obsessed he is so jealous me thinks. He may be on naff programmes but he is making more than a few quid out of it so who can blame him. Good luck to him if he can get away with it.

I saw that story about the Ranger's player Mohsni getting into a punch up at the end of their play off game. Does anyone remember him from a match down here at Home Park? He was playing for Southend at the time. Because he had long hair and looked a bit like a traveller the Devonport End started giving him a bit of stick which I suppose was a bit racist with the "where's your caravan" stuff. It was not meant in a racist way and was meant to be good humoured. He responded and played up to the Devonport End and they had a great time between them with comment and gestures going both ways. Never expected to see him playing for Rangers though.

Also.....Keith Lasley was playing for Motherwell..... and sang to the fans on a mic afterwards.

He came down to Home Park from Motherwell in 2004.......also the same day that Mat Kouo-Doumbe arrived from Hibs.
