It won't matter if he gets in anyway. Them not turning up would actually be better because that can't just be swept under the carpet.
UEFA should just **** FIFA off and be their own independent entity. FIFA would soon come running back when all the serious money in football turns its back.
Sky Sports News HQ @SkySportsNewsHQ Michel Platini confirms he asked Sepp Blatter to stand down as FIFA president today - we're live in Zurich for more #SSNHQ Sky Sports News HQ @SkySportsNewsHQ Michel Platini says 'a very big majority' of UEFA Nations will vote for Prince Ali in tomorrow's FIFA presidential election #SSNHQ
Blatter will win, you can just tell. If he knew he wasn't going to win then he'd have resigned today.
I don't care if what I'm about to post sounds awful, but can't some ****er just break into the headquarters and maim the corrupt sack of ****?
I'd remove that post if I were you Macca. May not seem like much but it's the sort of thing that can lead to a sharp knock on your front door. Edit; apparently you changed your username, who knew?
Platini: “This morning I took the car and went to see the FIFA President… I told him Sepp, man to man, face to face..Leave FIFA...”
Russia is part of UEFA so that explains why it is only 'a very big majority' then. UEFA would be better just refusing to vote as a block apart from those in favour. Simply put Blatter will win and I'm normally one who think that democracy is the right way to go. However seeing as FIFA is as corrupt as it is it would be better for UEFA to not vote and just site 'FIFA corruption' as the reasoning.
I agree. Boycotting the vote would have more impact. I'm watching Platini and interestingly he's not ruling out UEFA pulling out of FIFA after UEFA meet at the Champions League final.
Transfer Sources @TransferSources Michel Platini: "If Mr Blatter wins, Uefa will meet in Berlin to discuss the future of our relations with FIFA." David Gill, who is supposed to be taking up a role as vice-president, says he's refusing to take up the position if Blatter wins. UEFA are now guaranteeing Prince Ali 45/46 votes and he thinks he's got 60 votes outside UEFA.
If UEFA walk away from FIFA then FIFA are in trouble. I have no doubt that UEFA can work as a stand alone governing body but can FIFA work if they have no European say? I'm not so certain. Like I said Russia then. You know you are on shaky ground when Putin says what a good guy you are.
Well, there are 222 individual members of FIFA within the 6 confederations, so I would guess that is the number of votes.
Funny you should say that, we've heard nowt from him since they started wheeling out those mofo's from that Austrian hotel under cover of white sheets. Coincidence?
