In fairness, you lot actually gave him a standing ovation... The only ones giving him the clap should be your female classmates ;)

But he's a Mag isn't he? A lot of you were convinced he was. Even one of your fanzine shouted from the roof tops that he was a mag prior to leaving Man City. It's a well known fact according to some of you. That rapist Mag eh? <laugh>

Mag or not, I couldn't give a toss. If he's guilty and he did it that to my daughter at that age, I wouldn't rest until I'd slit his throat.

I think you'll find we're a classier bunch of fans who only applaud decent human beings...

....And racists and thugs... we're strict on that <ok>

Have to say, I'm not willing to sell the lad down the river, innocent until proven guilty. But I've not applauded or sang his name either. This cat is well and truly airing on the side of caution.

I think Johnson will get sent down for the grooming bit as it seems there is more evidence.
If he is proven guilty I would expect Sunderland to act swiftly.

I think, with no basis in fact at all, that if Sunderland thought there was a mild chance he would be found guilty then he wouldn't be anywhere near the club at the moment. I reckon they have a much better insight into the situation than any of us and they wouldn't risk tarnishing the club by playing him if they thought the outcome was going to be anything other than not guilty.

Feel this is going to be a storm in a teacup.

I'm often wrong though.

I think it's impossible to say if he's done it or not. There's no clue to evidence in the charges as it's a public interest case and combined with the seriousness of the alleged crime means the CP don't have to fulfill the duties of the Evidential stage as strictly as they normally would. Basically means the CP can bring charges just to cover their own arse. They may have solid evidence, they may have **** all. It's just impossible to tell at the moment.

If he's done it he'll be out of contract around the time he goes down which should keep it less messy.

<laugh> I bet he is innocent! In fact, I am almost willing to put money on it that he is(or found not guilty, the two aren't mutually exclusive though)

Didn't Kevin Webster get like 6 charges and one of them was grooming? He got found not guilty.

Yep, Charges brought by public interest, got to court and all the CP had was the testimony of the witness with no collaborating evidence what so ever. So with AJ if it's one word against the other it could well be down to character assassination of the defendant and alledged victim. Things like not reporting the offence immediately, an inconsistent account, voluntary return to abuser, a history of dishonesty or of drink or drugs abuse and track record of infidelity.
