"Ward said: “Carragher is a kn'ob. Everybody knows it." 1. I didn't. So thanks for the info, Mr Ward. 2. Carragher could be suffering from some medical condition. We need HIAG to confirm if he has seen any documentaries that show sufferers of such conditions.
Seriously, can anyone watch Carragher's punditry without coming to the conclusion that he's a knob within five minutes?
I'm waiting for the exchange I think Carragher and Neville are inevitably building up to on MNF. Carra: "Yeah, but we used to do it like this at Liverpool." Nev: "No Jamie, we did it like that at Utd." Carra: "Yeah Gary, but, we were always taught to do it the Liverpool way." Nev: "OK, Jamie. How many f***ing title medals have you got?"
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says the Mousers are `stuck in mud` and a `fading force` http://www1.skysports.com/football/...l-are-in-danger-of-becoming-a-provincial-club Excellent piece from Neville, he has it just about spot on, though `long faded force` would be more accurate. You will be hard pushed to find many regular Mousers who will agree with this or even face up to the facts Neville has highlighted, as most Bin Dippers are still desperately clinging onto past glories.
It is so surprising to see him getting a boot in. But as you say, his analysis is correct. Two PL clubs, two English clubs when English is the world language, had huge worldwide fan bases 10-15 years ago. Man U have done everything right in terms of promoting its worldwide image, raking in the cash and using it to continue to get some of the best players. Liverpool has done nothing but squander its advantage. The fact that they stand only fifth in revenue with their stadium and global support is a massive indictment of their management over the last decade.
No one looking at 'Pool can say they're a top team. So, who takes the blame? The previous owners for nearly taking 'Pool into Administration? The players for being so ****e, including Slippy? Or the manager, Brenda? Do bear in mind that "King" Kenny was sacked for achieving more than the current clown.
Commercial revenues from overseas - tours, merchandising etc - are massive. Liverpool do OK, but their lack of success domestically for so long means that their appeal is dwindling with the younger fans in places like the Far East. Over there, have a passing interest in football. They want to be associated with a football club like people want to wear fashion labels because they want to appear glamorous, sexy and successful. Players like Beckham and Ronaldo have given Utd a high profile because they are young, good looking, fashionable as well as being part of a successful team. For Utd's stock to remain high, the team needs star players and to get back to winning things. But Liverpool have dropped off the radar for many of these fans. Hence, they cannot compete financially with the leading clubs and their small stadium just adds to the problem. They lack appeal now outside Europe to fans, potential signings and cash rich investors, who would want to get them to the top rather than just strip them of their profits.
It is rumoured that a Spurs fan was admitted into intensive care at the cock clinic this afternoon after the 6-1 thrashing of Liverpool by Stoke. Let's hope it's not our good friend HAIG.
If there is one thing that doesn't lie its the table. If there is a 2nd thing its goal difference, and we beat 'pool on both of those.
My ,my.I thought Everton would turn it on but didn't. I thought Liverpool would show the football world how good they are.....and did!!!!!!! RIP. Resting in pieces!
Firstly, I'd like to echo my colleagues in sending this; please log in to view this image And afterwards, in all seriousness, I don't know how Brendan can keep his job. he's bought badly even if you ignore Balotelli and has sent the team plummeting backwards without Suarez, who was always a tormentor of Stoke.
The mousers. Back where they belong. Below us in the league. The laughing stock of English football. At least they have an opportunity for the future now that the average Gerrard has gone. Shown up for the one man team they were with Suarez. ****ing hilarious.
I don't use Twatter, but those who do seem to be full of sympathy for poor old Brenda! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...liverpool-concede-5-first-half-goals-at-stoke
