Ruddy Nora...I meant why is it better marketing wise? I'd be interested to read the strategy of a company looking to engender worldwide brand recognition in an extremely competitive market by changing corporate identity every other year.

We've always switched between the 2 and for me I wouldn't keep buying them if it was constantly stripes.
I like the variation between the two so effectively buy more shirts due to this
We've only had two plain kits in the last eleven years(twelve including the coming season).
I counted the half and half one as one of the plain ones, we've only had one completely plain amber shirt in the last eleven years.
Hooped socks look better than plain ones.
