Rob from the real results so far there has only been a Max 5% swing from con to lab and in fact in the last result there was a 7% swing from lab to UKIP!

No offence JWM, but I think you've misunderstood what they mean when they say 7% swing from x to y. It's not about which party the voters have changed who they vote for. They don't know that. It seems more likely that the UKIP votes were picked up from the Tories, and the Lib Dem votes were picked up by either Lab or Tories. But we can't be sure.

Also it's not worth really assessing anything on the basis of Sunderland results - as you can see the Labour vote has increased in the NE, but based on the exit polls I think it's pretty clear that won't be the case across the country.

It's looking worse than the exit poll :(

Very narrow Tory majority looking possible. A bad day for the country. I'm disappointed in the electorate being suckers for the scare tactics and shameless lies, but this is a democracy and have to accept that.

Well, at least we can now get this thread closed and concentre on what REALLY matters over the next couple of weeks. My only hope is that the 'blue' half of East Anglia will not be the ones toasting victory a week tomorrow!!!

I don't think it's fair to call people suckers because they didn't vote for who you wanted.........

I'm not all that worried about the SNP. There was a very clear "no" vote before.

The lib dems have been the real shocker! Down to like 7 or 8 seat from almost 50 last time I looked.

At least some common sense has prevailed and Norman Lamb has been re-elected!!!

Signing off from this thread now!!!!

I hate to think what this government will do with a majority.

5 more years of inequality, poverty and the marginalisation of the most vulnerable in society.
