There are rumours that the 3 G pitch is now being laid in the Airco Arena. I wonder what happened to the agreement between the club, the Premier League, Alan Johnson and the Council?
They are laying the pitch I was asked to play their tonight followed by another text saying it's cancelled because they are laying the pitch.
They said they were delaying the instalation until today, to allow time for the Council to agree the bubble pitch replacement, evidently that hasn't happened. It was probably never going to happen, it was just a way to ultimately blame the Council for the evictions.
And take the sting out of the protest. I wonder how much this was agreed with Alan Johnson and the Labour Group on the Council? We'll now see if they have the bottle to enforce the lease.
It seems it was just too much trouble for The Allams, Johnson and the Council NOT to find a solution.....
It would appear the Premier League required was planning permission for the bubble pitch as soon as possible, not by the 23rd as reported elsewhere.
It's all a load of ****e anyway there was a piece in this mornings Daily Mail asking when are Chelsea going to bring any youngsters through.
Laying the pitch whilst an alternative option was viable is 'Crossing the Rubicon' as far as I'm concerned. That's it, the pitch will never be taken up so it's the end of the Airco for community use. And I thought they wouldn't do it........
The pitch will be taken up if the Council insist it is taken up. The lease is clear they don't have the right to do it. Whilst Hull City's tenancy is in doubt the Premier League won't approve the Category 2 status, so goodbye to the extra cash. A lot will depend on how betrayed Alan Johnson feels.
No, no you're not, you're trying to be all hard by threatening me with a COTM nomination, because hey, that's an award that has meaning aint it? Oh hang on, smiley, you were just kidding around! Maybe... I never called anything, least of all wrong, however those making all sorts of claims about the effect on the local community were wrong. Only a **** like you could call the owners, a local politician and the local council working together to agree something as bad. Did anyone blame the council for the evictions? No? If there was a Contrary **** Of the Month award, you'd be a shoe in.
If the evictions happen without the Council enforcing the lease I'll blame them. With hindsight I blame them for not revoking the lease as soon as this blew up.
