Do you think Brucey will be thinking about bringing him in on a permanant in the Summer? I'd like to see him stay with us
I'm going to say no , not done enough and we won't pay the money Southampton would want , I do think we may go back in for kasper schmeichel though if we stay up , but for the record I don't think he is any better than mcgregor both average
For the right price I hope so, but if the price gets ridiculous I'd rather get a cheaper alternative. I think bruceys mind will be made up in the next 8 games
Safety's got to be obtained before even thinking about signings Go down and half this lot scarper and it'll be left to Quinn, Meyler Macshane etc to pick up the pieces
Ramirez was a revelation to me yesterday. Prior to the Chelsea game I thought he was expendable. But he had a major impact on the game and showed a level of skill, stamina, and innovation that transformed our attacking play. His combination with Hernandez and N'Doye was brilliant. If he can continue to play at that level through the end of the season we should definitely try to sign him at a reasonable price IMO.
nah not kasper as a new keeper no way he's overrated to **** ramirez is quality.. depends on what bloody division we are in though!
It was the only game so far this season. He knew it was on TV and put himself in the shop window. Anyone buying him from watching that will be gutted after the **** season he's had with us.
As someone mentioned the other day, we brought him in when Snodgrass got injured, when Snodgrass returns he's unlikely to get in the team.
Providing Snodgrass is capable of getting back to playing like the player we bought. I'm always pessimistic with knee injuries, a dislocated knee cap is not a good injury for a footballer.
If we keep playing with McGregor in net, we will be playing championship football next season, mark my words. So no!
He's miles better than Snodgrass. I'd rather we kept Gaston and sold Snodgrass, but my preferences dont come into it.
We already own Snodgrass, so he's likely to take priority, whatever anyone thinks of their respective abilities.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I believe that was the first time he's played in his proper position in a system that suits him since he arrived. He wants to be playing behind a striker with wingers either side of him, and I don't think there's any doubt that his performance was so much better than we're used to because he was playing his natural role. If we're going to play that way, him and Snodgrass will still fit in the team, because Snodgrass is a right winger. And as Bum Chin says, Ramirez is better anyway.
He signed a four year contract with Southampton in 2012 for 12 MILLION QUID! He MUST have the same agent as Hernandez and Shane Long. Ramirez is too lightweight for this League (imo) and how much do you reckon Southampton will want for him? There has to be better options.
Well to be fair he was brilliant in his last season before Saints signed him and £12m was about the right fee. You could argue he's gone to the wrong league and he might be better in Spain or South America, but he's a fantastic player and much better than Long and Abel.
I would agree with that but he is lost at this level for me. My guess is that Southampton will off-load him and he will move to Europe.
He didn't look lost on Sunday. I'm sure you're right about Southampton wanting to offload him though.
