we get beat off burnley then fail to sign anybody else this window?
Will we be ****ed?
Will you still have faith in Gus?
Will Gus get the bullet?

The tide is certainly turning social media wise like, most of my fyassbook news feed is very disgruntled, smb is in meltdown, twatter is un-impressed, got a horrid feeling its about to go wrong.I'll be distraught if we don't sign anyone this window, and if we lose to Burnley I'm sure the 'doom & gloom' brigade will manage to recruit more members. I've said on a previous thread that the next 4-5 games are huge but it doesn't mean that it's all over if results don't go our way.. Last season proved that.
As for having faith in GP... I fully understand what he is attempting to do however slating the fans isn't really helping his cause. I firmly believe that 2 bad results in the next 2 games may be enough for ES.
I can always handle a defeat if we play well, dont like it but find it much easier to copeWill we be ****ed?
Not Quite but nearly

Yes
Will Gus get the bullet?
No idea!
One question to ask is, what if we come out, all guns blazing against Burnley and have 47 shots on target of which their keeper saves them all. Then they go down our end of the field once and get a blatant offiside goal allowed or a penalty for nothing? The same questions apply!
Be nice to see us come out all guns blazing. With all due respect to Burnley - if they get relegated it means little to them in the grand scheme - their fans are here for the ride and want to stay in the PL but if they don't I imagine they will not have the same feelings we would and will not all want their boss sacked (If their are Burnley fans reading this then I apologise if I insult you - it is just my perception of things). Sean Dyche is highly thought of and, regardless of results, he seems to have everyone at the club backing him - as do the team - at Sunderland it's far different! The crowd are restless and have been for quite some time and this transfers itself to the players all the time. Imagine having to do your job for 40000 "bosses" who are vocal in their disapproval. If those same bosses sang for 90 minutes and made a noise would it spur you on? It would me - christ it did me when I played pub football and there were only 50 or so people backing our team!!
Sort of re-iterating - what if Gus sends them out saying "Get at them early and lets claw back some of those 8 goals conceded at Southampton" and the team goes out with a wimpering stance - the crowd may turn on Gus but it may not be his fault! No-one knows for certain - he took the flak off the team by accepting responsibility for Saturday's performance - this, in my book, is a good manager - reduce the heat on the players. If he came out and said "I told them to attack but they didn;t listen" then the crowd vocally turn on the players. The tide is certainly turning social media wise like, most of my fyassbook news feed is very disgruntled, smb is in meltdown, twatter is un-impressed, got a horrid feeling its about to go wrong.
I fear without an early goal or negative tactics this weekend it could turn nasty very quickly

I can;t imagine he said "Keep it tight at the back and try to get a goal later in the second half" against Fulham - the players should shoulder blame and gus taking this away from them is good management. Ferguson did it as well and other gaffers have.
Rodwell was absoultely stupid for that and should be fined 2 weeks wages for the stupidity! It's a bog standard yellow card (and, to be honest, he was a little lucky with the first one as that could easily have seen red!)The sending off had a massive impact on his plans imo, reckon alvarez was due to come on for 30mins, i 've certainly taken the articles as gus accepting responsibilty, and dont think he's slagged us fans off once
Not so sure - maybe not yourself, and not a number of others (me for instance) - but if we play well against Burnley and are beaten then fans will blame Gus. Not all but normally a vocal number. Hopefully we won't find outThe fans aren't daft. We can handle defeat if we play well. There were boos at the Liverpool game because we weren't competing and deserved to be losing.
He needs to set the tactics to be more positive now. Then hopefully the players will do their bit. If that happens then he doesn't have to worry about the fans doing their bit. That is a given!
My comment was more of a general nature than specific to the Burnley game mate. Not so sure - maybe not yourself, and not a number of others (me for instance) - but if we play well against Burnley and are beaten then fans will blame Gus. Atmosphere is poisonous. Gus is right: it does affect the players and I think it's completely unrealistic to expect otherwise.
It does go both ways, and the fans need something to cheer, but when the players try a forward pass and it's intercepted cue fans having a go, keep the ball whilst we wait for an appropriate chance to score cue fans having a go. It's difficult.
The numbers this season have been fantastic and that alone deserves more than two wins, but the crowd are 100% not helping matters, and I'd say they're hindering efforts. Time to forget about our woes this season and just back the lads for 90 mins, fans were behind team vs Chelsea and it made such a big difference
Poyet's tactics and team selections. That's what's holding us back imo. The Boo boys aren't helping and I wish to god they'd pack it in but it's Poyet who's getting it wrong before a ball is kicked.
