It is being suggested (mentioned on Sky Sports) that Tom may be on his way out to a Championship team, perhaps Bruce has decided he's not worth the £2 million+ fee

Been bloody obvious since the season started we have too many left footed wide men.

Meanwhile in real news the club have just tweeted that they have agreed a compensation fee worth up to £2.3m for Ince.

They hardly have a choice he has been under contract at City since last summer. Even if he leaves now we will have to pay that fee, but arbitration again due to his age could see us recoup the majority of it

He hasn't played in our academy, so we wouldn't get anything for him, other than whatever fee a club was prepared to pay for him.

We won't flog him immediately anyway, it would be embarrassing.

Think he probably deserves a crack playing in his natural position , he is never going to be a striker at this level

Left wing, where he's spent approximately 5 minutes playing. He's good as well, selling would be silly, although he doesn't fit the ultra negative steve Bruce hoofball style at all, so it was silly getting him in the first place.

Put him up front, or in central midfield, or anywhere other than his natural position.

Source(s): how to manage a football team by Steve Bruce.

True, but with only him and Aluko fit, he's the best option IMO. The guy scored ****loads at Blackpool. Yes it's in the Championship but he was clearly one of the very best players in that league. People like Aluko, Koren, Fryatt who we thought were quite good in the championship weren't nearly as good as him. He played against us as a right winger a couple of times and he was excellent. He's clearly got talent, but like all our wingers, we use him as a striker and then drop him for the next 20 games when he isn't an effective target man. He's hardly had a chance. 3 games at the start of the season, then a cup game away at the emirates with no strikers in front of him. What's he meant to do? Aluko on the other hand gets a start nearly every week and is ****e every time.

We need some forward thinking and a player like Ince could get us back up when we go down whereas some of the others might be on a lot more money like Livermore/Hudds and probably of less use in a lower division.
