Steve needs to put this mask on for every game from now on............players will understand the consequences if they do not get a result.

Before people start re-writing history that was a bloody good team performance for the full 90 minutes. We battered their goal, passed well, had good possession and should have won the game.
The team was unlucky, Bruce was unlucky and we were unlucky........ Now feel free to spread your bullshit.

I'm going to disagree with you Craig, we only started playing for the last 15mins because Leicester dropped off and we had to do something. The previous 75 mins we looked like a team void of any imagination.
Why play Livermore at RB, a RB at LB and a LB on the bench

You can create all you like but sod all went into the back of the net.

It was only a matter of time second half when our strikers came on. Unfortunately we ran out of it. Your win had a chunk of luck involved because at times, you're defending wasn't good enough. Fortunately for you, neither was our finishing.

16 million quids worth of strikers on the bench against the bottom club who are destined for the Championship. You can say what you want the last 3 home games we have been dire, there's no plan no pattern ir play and we give the ball away to cheaply. I am much of a Bruce fan but he's signed players he has no idea where he's going to play in what formation, he's admitted this his self.

We got some luck no question of it. But just watch the highlights of our game against Tottenham and you will see we had the same luck. We have a striker in Leo who scores most of his chances while you don't

I'm optimistic now that we can stay up but the January window is massive for us. I wouldn't get too down about today as it happens to everyone

You got lucky, big deal.
The truth is our performance showed we should stay up while yours only emphasises your going down.

Give your head a wobble. Losing shows you should stay up and winning shows your going down?

Performances won't be right every week. We played Tottenham off the pitch and lost. We ride our luck against you and win that's football

Silly little comments like yours hold no water

No. of Leicester City goals - 1
No. of Hull City goals - 0

As they say in the Land of Spray-On Cheese - "you do the math"

If we play as we did today in every one of our next 19 games, we will presumably lose them all 1-0. That is what today's performance warranted. You have also raised, and answered, a fairly obvious point; we play some decent football at times and create a lot of chances, we just need to start putting a few away. But if that's the case, why leave two international forwards who cost a combined £18m on the bench for an hour? Bruce seems to be losing the plot. I think we may be only a few games from seeing Steve Harper as a lone striker

To be fair, you would know all about that.

But fair play you have done us t

You have to give Leicester (and Pearson) credit today. They have done a number on us, much like we did on Sunderland. We've huffed and puffed and created a few half chances, and f*cked them all up. Our slump continues. Who's to say Leicester now wont go on a run?

Nothing whatsoever about our performance today showed why we should stay up. Get a grip.

Just so you are aware, we have been snuffed out today by a team that has a) Not won a league game since September, b) has lost 11 out of their last 13 matches, c) is rock bottom of the league.

I hope Bruce is less blasé than you are.

I don't know how we didn't score.

Frustrating, but heartening too as once we had some proper attacking players on the pitch, we looked like we had goals in us.

We HAVE to start with these players from now on.

Big win for Leicester, they defended well and battled hard too.

Hard to take, but there you are. Premier League football.

We didn't score because we are poor finishers and need lots of efforts before a success gives us confidence.

It a pity we can't be allowed to look like we have goals in us for more than the last 30mins.

BIG loss for Hull City AFC, according to Steve Bruce (and me).

I agree, hard to take indeed. No, that had nothing to do with Premier League, except that the manager's team selection was not up to Premier League standard, (or any professional level for that matter).

I do agree with you, today showed we don't take our chances i am unsure why that shows we will stay up? We have now scored in something like 3 of our last 10 games that to me shows a continued trend? Leicester where also excellent against Spurs to be fair to them but they where very poor today.

I thought in the first half we where very poor at keeping the ball. Bruce agreed that the first half wasn't good enough and i agree with him, i thought we lacked penetration and we needed someone up front to get on the end of the balls. However Elmo should of scored at the end.

We had some brilliant chances and the last 30-35 minutes we played well, but we have to take our chances. Games like today are games we need to win. Some positives and some negatives to take from it.

Just ignore craig, he doesn't know his arse from his elbow.

I agree. We felt the same after the Spurs defeat. Hammered them and lost as didn't take our chances. Ups and downs of the premier league
Will be interesting to see who we bring in to strengthen in jan. We have Stoke and Villa at home coming up in January. Must wins

Two Championship teams playing a Championship fixture?

Remember going to the old Fer Ark watching Christian Samson and Glen Humphries never dreamed of signing a 10 million pound player. Can we have our money back?

Why play Livermore at RB, a RB at LB and a LB on the bench

BBC stats:

Hull City
18 shots / 6 on target, 7 corners, 62% possession, 0 goals

Leicester City
4 shots/ 2 on target, 1 corner, 38% possession, 1 goal

The best team lost. Yes it was surprising to see Livermore at right back, but Rosey did well at left back and there's no way Figueroa deserved the place more than him.

A frustrating afternoon - City (Hull of course!) looked the better team throughout but seemed to want to stroll through the game in the first half. The substitutions did result in a big increase in urgency which was reflected in a more attacking approach, particularly by Elmo. I think a fair bit of the credit for this must go to Hernandez who did his utmost to keep the game moving and to Ince who added a more creativity. Leicester certainly rode their luck and were easily the worst team I've seen this season - can't see them staying up without a huge improvement.
