^ this.

The CL gravy train became an exclusive club over a decade ago, because only those clubs who had the benefit of the incremental revenue could both afford and attract the best players. Only the likes of City have managed to gate crash the party, solely because of financial doping.

I feel this season is even more important to qualify with the new mega deal with BT - fear that the top 4 will grow bigger and more distant from the rest of the league.

Also, focusing on Rodgers - I read some interesting stats on his career. His defensive record at all clubs is extremely poor.

His teams have conceded at least 2 goals per game in around 40-50% of his games - ACROSS HIS CAREER!!

If he wants to have a successful career, he needs proper coaches in his team to help him.

This is where he hinders himself! He has categorically refused to bring in a defensive coach, leaving himself open to criticism. He knows where our frailities lie and yet, refuses to rectify the problem. It's like his inability to pick a striker from the 3 available that we have - All of which were brought in by him! Pride before a fall and all that - He deserves to fall on his own sword if he continues in the same vein.

he's gone in may.. that's my opinion. expect to see the committee gone in feb once any deals are done. If we hear ayre is not negotiating anything he's gone too.

Ayre has just bagged a promotion, and is very unflushable. I don't expect he will be sacked any time soon

he'll go... no question in my mind.

We won't sack him mid-season. If he gets until May, he has the opportunity to improve things and get us going again. I can't see it myself but there is a chance. What if we finished fifth or sixth and somehow won the EL...? (very unlikely I know)

i do agree. I've said so several times in last 24 hours. May is when he'll go. He'll be in my opinion a dead duck managing out the season while FSG change all the other stuff they need to change behind the scenes.

I seem to rememebr in 2010 rafa had the same... if i win the europa surely they won't get rid... well.... rafa jumped ship really...
