I admit to saying to you guys that Balotelli was worth a punt at £16m. Not a great deal for a striker these days, especially one that supposedly has all this talent, though when you think about it, the only time he has shown this skill in any sort of abundance was at Inter as a youngster.
He had the occasional flash at City and then at AC, but I am talking like 1 in 10 games here. The kid has no work ethic, but he is by no means as bad as some other signings in recent years (Carroll, Torres, Shevchenko) for mega bucks who failed miserably.

You will easily recoup 60-70% of the money you paid for Mario, so you lose a couple of million....big deal.....

The shame of it all, from your perspective, is that you were unable to build on the momentum you gathered last season.
Liverpool would come out the starting block every game like lightning and strike fear into defenders, how many goals did you score in the first 15-20 minutes of games last season? I bet it was a lot!

This season ALL your play is laboured and slow, you have no one bar Sterling with any real pace.
You would have been better off with Remy or Welbeck, or someone of that ilk. Someone who will run a bit.

Damn right it wasn't a great deal...

I was agaisnt the signing at the time; that said, I understand why the took the gamble. The fact that it hasn't come off (so far) and the Struudige has missed almost all the campaign means it's backfired badly. Bad luck or poor management (or both)? Whatever, we're paying the consequences now.

If he pulls it around big time and gets you back in the top 4 then he will keep his job, or if he puts in a good challenge for it and just misses out, then maybe they will keep him on.
But I think if you revert back to your pre 2014 form and finish 7th/8th, which is likely at this point, then BR will be a goner.

I'm inclined to agree with this. I think he'll be there for the season (unless things get relegation-threateningly bad) and then they'll see how the second half of the season goes. If Sturridge comes back, things start clicking and we get on some good form an finish, say in the top 6 I think he'll get a reprieve, especially if he manages to win a cup as well. If we continue scratchign aound for points, not really getting any momentum or fluency, then he'll go I would think.

Henry later noted that even a win in the FA Cup would not have saved Dalglish's job, although he stated that the sacking had nothing to do with the Suárez controversy

The decision to let him go was based purely on league form apparantly.
It IS the bread and butter I guess.

Pretty much my point. FSG judge the manager on how they've one in the league, maybe CL too although that's not going to help is it

You wont get a manager in right now who will do much better than what Rodgers is doing with these players to be honest.
You'd be better off sticking with him until the summer, unless, as Nozzer says, things get relegation threateningly bad, but I dont see that happening.

This, in the sense that I would think that most of our targets would only be likely to move in the summer. Klopp would be a possible exception, but I wouldn're fire Rodgers on the off-chance we could get Klopp.
