I feel this season is even more important to qualify with the new mega deal with BT - fear that the top 4 will grow bigger and more distant from the rest of the league.

  3. I'll always opt for long term gains over short term benefits <ok>

Which is what the owners are doing - ensuring that the club is self sustainable, and not reliant on cash injections.

This is where he hinders himself! He has categorically refused to bring in a defensive coach, leaving himself open to criticism. He knows where our frailities lie and yet, refuses to rectify the problem. It's like his inability to pick a striker from the 3 available that we have - All of which were brought in by him! Pride before a fall and all that - He deserves to fall on his own sword if he continues in the same vein.

he's gone in may.. that's my opinion. expect to see the committee gone in feb once any deals are done. If we hear ayre is not negotiating anything he's gone too.

Ayre has just bagged a promotion, and is very unflushable. I don't expect he will be sacked any time soon

  8. In one respect yes. However, blowing £250m on the wrong players is a sustainable model <laugh>

  9. I'm not 100% convinced he'll go yet.

I think at minimum he'll be shunted away from anything to do with players.

  12. We won't sack him mid-season. If he gets until May, he has the opportunity to improve things and get us going again. I can't see it myself but there is a chance. What if we finished fifth or sixth and somehow won the EL...? (very unlikely I know)

i do agree. I've said so several times in last 24 hours. May is when he'll go. He'll be in my opinion a dead duck managing out the season while FSG change all the other stuff they need to change behind the scenes.

I seem to rememebr in 2010 rafa had the same... if i win the europa surely they won't get rid... well.... rafa jumped ship really...
