I only really think we need to bring in a 'World Class' DM. In defence we just need another CB to cover. Vlarr would be a decent addition - not 'World Class' but a reliable experienced player.

I just read "Mings is yet another player who was largely developed at Southampton but he was allowed to leave in 2009 when the club went administration and were forced to cut their budgets." If the FA were smart enough, they would try and invest money into Southampton or copy their model. They obviously are doing something right and the English FA should do more to support/reward them.
Vertoghen is being linked. Would be a quality signing IMO. Probably the best player in the Spuds squad.
I'd love him to sign, I wanted him when he signed for Spurs. Unfortunately I can't see it happening. Apparently he was considering us but turned us down because we wouldn't guarantee he'd play CB - Wenger planned to play him at DM according to rumour.

Apparently Spanish clubs are after Cazorla again, doubt we will sell in Janaury, but if a good offer comes in the summer, maybe? I would to be honest, Cazorla is a very good player and his form has picked up, but I don't see us becoming the dominant team we want to be with players like Cazorla-Podolski who are very good, but not world class, which is what you really need. I'd sell and look to buy another mega superstar for midfield, and proper defensive midfielder.
We'd be mad to sell Cazorla in my opinion. He's a great little play and offers our squad exactly the type of depth we need. Where would we be without him at the moment ?

Silva won't get a work permit seeing as he has not yet even played for his national team. It's a non-story.
Lucas Silva looks like a Top prospect but.. Would prefer a DM with a little more experience that could come in and make an immediate impact. Khedira would be a good addition.
