Fabian Schar - Offer Basel a deal they can't refuse because this kid is the real deal. Is probably good enough to be our first choice CB straight away.
not straight away. he's got talent, and a year or so watching Mert and Kos and he'll be there. Basel have always produced class players. Need to keep an eye on their academy.
Yeah Schar looks a good prospect. I would be happy with a young potentially World Class player or two to cover our defensive positions. How about Schar and Kristoph Kramer - a CB and a DM. Wouldn't cost more than £25 Million for the both of them and would drastically improve our squad.
That would please me immensely. Two major holes in our squad would be plugged. But we all know, that it's too good to be true. We will probably buy Mings from Ispwich and try and convert him into a CB.
Mings? he's taller than 5'6. I'm not sure Wenger will go for that. We will probably sign another short creative midfielder. (despite not 'needing' Fabregas)
Khedira rumours are back again. This time Real Madrid are willing to sell on the cheap as he has his heart set on Arsenal. (apparently)
If we get him and a CB, then I will feel a lot more optimistic for our hopes in the league and Champions League. At the moment we're selling ourselves short by not having the right cover, which is a shame. A CB and DM will make a significant impact to our squad. Khedira would slot straight into our squad in my opinion. I can also see a positive knock on effect on Ozil. Only issue would be the impact on Ramsey and Cazorla. Will they be able to adapt to the change?
IMO having someone who can break up play/keep possession at the back will improve us throughout the team, making us much more dangerous going forward and give our defence a lot more stability - I just hope we can sign the required quality in Jan... A back up CB is a must!
The CB is priority. I can imagine if Khedira is available and at a good price, then we might go for him. I don't think a DM is a priority for Wenger as we have two covering that position and he is very loyal to his players.
Linked with some Bulgarian (I think) kid. 16 years old and supposedly a DM. Papers saying £1.6 mil and £2k a week which, if true, seems quite steep considering his club brought him this season for £9k! Probably all media ballbags as per usual.
