Wenger's only supposed positive was that he could apparently attract players that others could not.

If we believe Reus said these things (which is unlikely given this is in the Sun) then Wenger really would have nothing going for him.

We signed Ozil because no one else was after him. if Reus is available it will be to one of the bigger boys, always a non starter

Any quotes from Reus in it? Alves won't happen - older, will want big money and Jenks, Bellerin, Debuchy & Chambers can all play RB.

Not really, PSG were also after Ozil. At the time, he was rated as one of the best play makers in the world and in my eyes he still is. Also the people that moaned about Ozil, can now see that we are actually a lot worse without him in the side.

Arsenal are a better side when Ozil is played in the right position and given the right protection. That hasn't happened this season. He's great at finding space, he needs to be played at 10, and given the freedom to make the game.

That one's debatable there I think... we were cack with him at the start of the season, we're still cack without him. It's hard to see the difference with him and without him giving the overriding sense of cacky cackness that is Arsenal FC right now.

Our two best performances this season? Aston Villa away and Gala at Home. And Ozil played as a 10 in both of those games. It's simple really.

His replacement (Cazorla) has been dreadful all season. Ozil can at least retain the ball even when he is off form. I think our midfield has become a lot worse without Ozil. Ramsey,Wilshere and Cazorla have all been awful.

Also, at least Ozil has the excuse of having no real pre-season, because of Germany making the World Cup final, so he was playing catch up at the start. Cazorla and Wilshere started pre-season only a week late because their countries got dumped out in the group stages, while Ramsey had a full pre-season to get ready for the season, and to a man they have been ****e.

On a positive note, you would expect all of those midfield players mentioned to improve as the season progresses.

I been waiting for Wilshere to improve and show some consistency for three years now, but he seems more intent on moaning at the ****ing ref every game. That was his single contribution against Swnasea, it's actually pathetic and if we had a decent manager, he might tell Wilshere to shut the **** up and get on with the game.

Why would you expect that? Ramsay and Wilshere have spent far more of their careers being cack than good. It's not an expectation they improve, it's hope.

Or you could say (Ramsey in particular) that when they've been fit they've looked very good, but for large parts of their careers they've been injured

Exactly. They are not 'cack' players at all, they are both potentially world class. When on form, both Ramsey and Wilshere can dominate a game, but they have both been injured and suffering from poor form. I would expect them (not based on hope) to improve as the season progresses as long as they can stay injury free.

Ramsay, yes I can accept that. Wilshere... No. He's never been great. The odd impressive game but that's it.

I know he is injured at the moment but I bet Wenger now wishes he had taken Fabregas back as Ramsey and Wilshere have yet to perform this season. We talk about a poor defence but so far the midfield ain't a lot better.

Pedant. Obviously no-one in the premier league is 'cack' or they wouldn't be paid thousands to play there. I was obviously talking relatively. I feel he is more cack than others seem to find him. I feel he is more cack than we need in a midfielder.

Worry not about the future, fellow Arsenal supporters, all our troubles will be gone. We are signing Brooklyn Beckham. Only 15 but bags of potential. A wondrous piece of business, I am sure you will all agree.

you should have gone for Fabregas, can't believe you didn't take up the option (providing it did exist)
