What that purple line doing disappearing into the ether below? If you are going to put GD on, I'm only suggesting making the graph accurate. <whistle>

It is accurate, you just lack imagination :)

All that matter is we have 7 out of possible 12 so far this block and can make it 10/12 by robbing the mancs at old toilet..... 7/12 is par for the course this season and the table I posted with 1/12 in last block shows where we have lost any chance at to 4 already <ok>

We are struggling along til jan 1. If no immediate move is made we are in major trouble and if no move at al is made the whole structure needs removal fallow, Rodgers et al.

Getting CL is crucial this year. BT sports have the rights for CL from next year so the money will increase significantly.

Am bumping up this thread with a serious comment:

This is about Rodgers and our form both this year and last:

Last season:

If you had tracked rodgers progression last year on this type of thread then you would see the first half of last season was solid but hardly spectacular

Summary of 2013/14 season blocks august to January

Block 1: 10 points out of 12. sturrdige scored in first 3 and we got 1-0s.
Block 2: 7
Block 3: 7:
Block 4: 9 (including beating tottenham 5-0)
Block 5: 6 points (including losses at chelsea&city)

Given the transitional aspect of last season for many clubs this form got us to top spot on Christmas day for which we were all very grateful.

After that period though we went on a run and and took 8/12, 12/12 and 12/12 in next blocks then 9 in the last one.

.....................................
This season:

This year is quite different in that cheslea have run off and city have played catch up and there's a big glut of clubs from 3rd to 8th... and of cuorse today we are 9th

Block 1: 6
Block 2: 7
Block 3: 1
Block 4: 7 (so far with utd to come)

So lets ignore who we played and say 4 points less in block one but NINE worse in block 3 means 13 points off where we were last year.

the question on everyone's lips is why?

Despite our great run the reality is all our real form last year came when rodgers happened upon a diamond formation and two fully fit forwards in suarez and sturridge. Prior to Christmas last year sturridge had a longish injury too.

I think now that we have seen a lucky lucky man fall into a formation which absolutely flew and a team led by saurez who thought anything was possible.

Rodgers has signed very badly in the last 3 windows, he's chopped and changed looking for a magic bullet and frankly he's got nowhere near one. He has seen consistently injuries to sturridge and has not only failed to replace suarez but failed to cover the inevitable. sure nobody saw sturridge missing 90% of season so far but everyone has seen him being injured... a lot...

I share my view with many others on signings however I strongly am of the view that it is not just summer 2014 that's hurt us but most of all I feel we are forgetting the summer of 2013 when aspas turned up. If we'd bought well in 2013 we'd have settled players in our side. Instead we've 3 of the players out on loans and will never play for us and one who'd fallen out with manager!

I suppose my opinion sums up as this:
1. He got lucky, very lucky last year and this year looks to be more of his level.

2. I can see us getting approximately 50% of remaining points on offer (if he gets a fit forward) and that comes to 54 points... so if you add 13 points to that total you get 67 which is close to but not top 4.

3. Therefore the damage is already done and unless we win a cup we are not getting europa either.

Ahem....

Dear Mr I don't go missing when LFC are doing c r a p please update when you get from behind your settee...<doh>

Thank You

Payback Wums...<laugh>

That's 1/3 so far this block with 3 big games to come... We simply must win next 3...

Jan 1 we have got to have a forward lined up ready to go as well

Liverpool have 22 points from 17 games this season. No PL team has ever finished higher than 6th with that record at this stage.
