This is always a popular line. Was with Barmby as manager too. But essentially you're saying that LR is too experienced to know what he had to do in that scenario, but you do know what he had to do.

If it's as simple as shutting up shop, I think it's laughable to suggest that a professional football manager couldn't have thought of it just because he's a younger one.

Well he didn’t think of it, I think it’s a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

I've said several times it is his arrogance, and perhaps naivety, that has seen him fail to see out games or change tactic when clearly his 'style' is not working. An older head, in my opinion, would be knocking that out of him. He isnt the only one, how many times did we say it about Grant McCann? He was equally stubborn in trying to make things work when it was clear as day the opposition were comfortable handling it. I have not said he does not know what to do. If I have I certainly didnt mean that.

I will always give credit where it is due and yesterday I think it was the right plan, but to try and win a comp with no plan B is madness and the reason why we will finish out of the play offs and by some distance I think.

When it comes to changing things mid game, then Rosenior is on a different planet to grant.

Agree, I think it’s unfair to say Roseniornhas no plan B. He is pioneering setting up a team full of central midfielders with things like playing central midfielders on the wing or at full back, and central midfielders up front.

It's committee led recruitment. Based on having a reputation for player development.

Rosenior will have been employed on that basis.

Of course he'll have a veto on a signing, as will Acun and Tan.

But the club recruitment strategy and overall business plan isn't down to Liam.

    Far from it.

I thought 'shutting up shop' was the major criticism since he didn't go out for a second goal to kill it off. Seems people want to have it both ways.

Perhaps different people saying these conflicting things, but yes, it does rather demonstrate that the right strategy isn't as obvious as some make out.

The obvious strategy is always available after the event - time travel would be useful .

Agree but every game is different every set of personnel could be somewhat different and the time in the game a decision is to be made . There have been odd times when ‘attacking’ or shutting up shop look like they should happen , it’s not simple is it? Liam messed up at Ipswich totally for example but he’s seen away games out by shoreing up the midfield - but that’s not spectacular like bringing on a super sub - is it , and we don’t have one .
The best decisions are the ones where we are totally wrongly set up at the start and a change in formation or personnel sorts it out - that gives me more faith in the manager

He almost blew it at Hudersfield by making pointless changes. If not making changes on Saturday was him learning then I'm OK with that.

I think not making changes on Saturday probably had more to do with a three week break meaning good recovery time for the players so the starting eleven could run themselves into the ground. In other matches he's probably got one eye on the next fixture

I thought about that but then wondered what Tufan might have been able to unlock in 15 mins near the end. We will never know of course and its nit-picking on a good performance.

Lots to chew over about Rosenior again I see. Obviously fans all see it differently and thats great for debate but looking at recent results and our home form especially has anyone actually accepted yet that whilst we are improving and capable of turning anyone over on our day has anyone simply thought we might just not be consistently good enough yet to warrant a higher place in the league? Factors come into the equation of course. Delaps injury seems to a big talking point especially when we don’t score and likewise our left back problems before Kent arrived was arguably our Achilles heel for weeks on end . Only this weekend Greaves apparently ‘went missing’ for Vardy’s equaliser and the board still seems split on whether or not Allsop can stop a ballon at times let alone his ability to give anyone a coronary. Joking apart though the team is obviously better now than the one we had in August and the football is again arguably better as well most weeks but I feel more and more fans are now touching on the whether or not another manager would have improved our league position and indeed would of got more out of the current squad.

Is it all down to where we actually finish?

    Thoughts?

LR has improved our League position and another Manager might have had us in 10th or 12th or maybe top 4 but LR has improved us to what we are and where we are so another manager should not even be considered.
