What's going to happen with all the excess cash?
Judging by the sums people are sticking in the flag must be paid for and then some...

What makes it a not606 flag is the vote. I know its marginal but I quite like the idea that its a not606 banner. It only becomes a divisive issue if we let it.
After all the contributions he's made to this thread I'm looking forward to seeing Happy declare his donation and how much it is.

Missing the point entirely. It's a not606 banner because the idea was conceived and developed on this forum.
People are donating cash to it. They are not sponsoring it.
I cant decide if you're deliberately being obtuse or not. It seems very clear to me.
It's a flag, to show the fans support of Bruce, as a result of something started on this forum. An open forum anyone can participate, read, write, whatever on. No joining fees. No badges. Just an open forum.
Meh, feel like I'm banging my head against a wall here.
Cross that bridge then. For now it's a gesture of support.
One option could be to keep using it, along with images of other former staff held in high esteem.
So you think the Ulltras should not have their name on their flags?
Kinell. It's a Not606 organised (by Dutch) banner. Why shouldn't it have Not606 on it? Cliquey? FFS Fans are cliquey, or tribal, its part of the fun, different sections, different ways to have fun.
Carry on Dutch, you're doing a fab job.

Happy's stumping up the shortfall he created by making sure CTWD couldn't get involved and use their discount.
As I've already said once, this forum isn't even the only place its been discussed. The only constant I can see is Dutch himself. He's acknowledged the support of the fanbase as a whole in this. Just because you've only seen it on here, doesn't mean it's only been a not606 thing.
I think it'd be wrong and unfair on a lot of other groups if only not606 is acknowledged. It really should be all or none.
To be fair, the issue was born on this forum and certainly in these early stages, has been largely promoted on the forum, so I do feel it's fair to offer something back to the siteowner for helping pull together the community in the first place.
There are an awful lot of individuals that have played a crucial roll in pulling this together, some of those individuals had links to groups, and those groups themselves have offered invaluable support. As grateful as we all should be to them, the banner would look a mess with all of those people and groups listed. It would also lead to people refusing to be involved if certain groups get a mention.
The original drawing by maulled, had not606 on, and that was the design that people came forward to help come to life, so I do feel an attachment to leaving the not606 on.
It's a Hull City Community banner that shows support for the club. The key message is that Hull City fans back Steve Bruce.
How about a big photo shoot, with all the groups represented and their logos prominently displayed for publicity? We could even ask the Club if they'd let a joint representation of all the groups present it to Steve Bruce personally?
Or even a press conference saying why we've done it and then unveil the flag. We may get TV coverage from the BBC and Sky among others. Especially if it was around the usual pre-match interviews.

How long are we going to keep the donations going till Dutch?
That's a very good question.
I think it'll peak and then die down, but I want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to be involved, either by donation or advice.
I'm waiting for quotes, so we've some slack yet, but I'd guess the quotes will be soonish, so assuming it's all dying down, what about drawing a line next Monday?
What does anyone reckon?
