Said it to couple people earlier today, we came into the CL in the wrong year. We needed to be in it last year when we had Suarez and were playing decent football.

We could have done without CL football this year and kept a smaller squad and invested it better rather than trying to increase the depth and quality in one go which was always going to be tricky.

I meant in terms of the style of football and playing against the vast majority of teams in the Prem. I just think they prefer the continental style and the opposition all play that more passing style which is what they all see as the purist way of playing. You won't see any teams in La Liga set up to stick 10 behind the ball to get a point.

Why what's the point of running him ragged for no reason. He's not got the best of stamina and they're playing again in 3 days
