If you think my digs are grotty maybe you shouldn't have remortaged the mansion to fund your football betting
To be honest Tobes you can believe what you want, it's no concern to me whether you believe me or not. I've seen and done things that would make you sick to the stomach. I live down south because I had to get away from a lifestyle that would have either got me killed or got me locked up in an institution for a ****ing long time. But to think I can't get hold of football tickets is so naive. A football ticket??? You want a legit passport too? No bother.
I'm sure your life's been colourful and challenging fella, and whether you went or not is of no consequence to me either. But to say it's just a ticket, downplays the significance of a CL final ticket and the attendance record needed by a fan in order to have the privilege of obtaining one.
What have final tickets got to do with anything? I've been to 2 European Cup Finals - 1 in Rome and the other in London and both when I was living and working in London. So I don't see the relevance. I don't live that far away from Sky and I get to a few matches each season. For both of us the nearest away ground to us would be Southampton and that's not the easiest ground to get tickets for! This season I've not been able to get to a home match for a number of reasons and doubt that I will be able to until towards the end of the season. However, for me at least, that's not the measure of a true fan. It's what's in your heart that really matters. I know that's true for me and I would guess for Sky also. So all of those of you who think that going to every home game is the true test I would say think again. Perhaps you are trumped by those who travel to every away game. I do know that it's pure hell when you live outside of Europe and can't get to a match or even pick up a tv feed or radio commentary but the anxiety levels are just the same during the game - and afterwards as you try and find out what the score was! Thank goodness for the internet if you can get a fast connection!
I'm not downplaying the fact I got a ticket, I had the most amazing day of my life. What I'm suggesting is if you know the right people then tickets are hardly the most difficult things to get hold of. I rarely miss any of our away games in London because I can get tickets easily enough (Bar QPR as I was abroad). I don't travel to Liverpool so much anymore, as I choose not to - but trust me I've been more times than I care to remember. The only reason I go to matches is becasue I enjoy football, I don't go because I'm a 'supporter', as I realise that many Liverpool fans/supporters can't get to the games. You'll actually notice that away games in London I'm very rarely on the forum - I wonder why? But it comes back to you making assumptions because I live on the South Coast, I've not once made an assumption about you. Do you know why? Because I have no idea who you are! Also to add to the point there is a fella called Terry who was born and bread in Liverpool and moved to Weymouth 14-15 yrs ago and has kept his season ticket since before he moved down. He watches us EVERY week, hs whole life revolves around football, and doesn't miss a game wherever we play - whether domestically or in a cup game. The guy is a true supporter and has lost 2 very nice wives for his love of the game. He lives about 10 minutes drive from me - so it just shows some people will go all out EVERY week. Whereas I personally can't be arsed with so much travelling
whereas... tobes says he lives close enough to go... lucky him eh sky? funny tobes seeing you started it its ok for you to move but not sky..... no i fully expect you to have a go at me to avoid putting your has up on it... but life is life.
I'll eat **** on this one Sky, as I'm sure you're being genuine here and I was wrong to have a side swipe at the start of the 'banter'
