Biggest load of bollocks I've seen on here all day - that description is basically Alex Bruce, who once played almost an entire half against Burnley with no successful passes.
Let's wait and see who goes in January then shall we, after which hopefully we will not hear anymore bollocks being spoken about bloody Mcshane who has never been and never will be good enough, hence why he is not even in the squad
Gutter press (The Sun) once again been reported with this nonsense and quoted by the HDM. Dont see any chance of them going. If anything happens to any of saturday's back 3 then we need McShane who is next in line. Just a idle speculation.
1) When Bruce and Meyler went off @ WBA we fell apart and lost the game. Upto that point we were in cruise control. 2) We will need Quinn for obvious reasons. Plus we wont have Elmo and Diame from Jan 10th for a month at least due to the African nation cup plus hopefully 2 FAC games. 3) McShane has his worth for certain games and situations. But at the moment is not a starter. I can see Maguire going out on loan if anyone does.
Yes he is. Do you seriously think that if say Chester came back injured from Wales duty that McShane would not be in the 18 for Arsenal ? ffs, get a grip. Can see Figueroa going in January mind.
We weren't in cruise control at all, we were utterly **** against West Brom, though Bruce's substitutions did gift them the result.
Oh dear, haven't you noticed SB has been picking AB before Macca ? It doesn't matter what you or i think. SB picks the team, thank **** !
If the club doesn't generate enough income to afford a squad that can keep it in The Premier League, should we play with "Championship" players whose wages CAN be covered by the club's income who might get us promoted once in a while? McShane and Quinn are perfect for a club like City. Much as I enjoy the great players at the club now, I'd be more inclined to sell Robertson and Chester on at a profit to balance the books and keep McShane and Quinn. Relegation from the Premier League and Bartlett's handling of it was pretty much fatal for the club last time. I'd rather go down as a going concern than stay in the Premier League trying to be a bigger club than we really are and go bust. The wage bill needs trimming and if Bruce wants any funds for strengthening in January, he'll have to wheel and deal for them though, as things are, I expect to see players on their way out in January rather than coming in.
People need to remember our rate of improvement and look how we have improved as a squad with the likes of Dawson, Diame, Robertson, Jelavic, Hernandez, Huddlestone, Ben Arfa, Ramierez, Livermore, Davies and Chester etc If that rapid rate of succession is to continue and we want to become an established Premier League team and even in the top half of the league then we need (unfortunately) to put sentiment and cult status aside. McShane and Quinn are okay squad players but they weren't even guaranteed starters in the Championship and in the bigger picture are the players we will at some point need to move on from. We now have the likes of Tom Ince and Maguire not able to get in the squad and these have potentially massive futures.
It always disappoints me that when folk have not got the nous to discuss the pros and cons of football they always revert to criticising players who don't deserve it. Both Mac and Alex are good players who have coped manfully with the PL, yes their lights wane as our incomings improve, but it doesn't condone the tripe I've read on here. I blame CTWD.
