I agree with this and I sometimes question how the guy runs a successful company! He should of asked the fans first and stated what the club would gain through doing this, have a vote and take it from there, he has gone about this all the wrong way and his timing is poor!....I totally agree, and I don't like the way he has gone about it, However I love my club too much and have watched many games from the third division to the premier league, always hoping one day we would be here, yes for parts of it, we did it without allam! but he has brought success to the club and I don't see a "word change" as been a problem!
I've purposely not entered the debate surrounding mr allam, on the one hand I have the opinion that no matter what he wants or succeeds in doing with our club name to me we will always be hull city. However on the other hand I look at the money poured into the club to back an excellent manager and I cannot help but admire his support. I have kept away from the usual allam bashing that often takes place on here, but I am getting tired of not only the tedious rants but also the timing of them. Steve Bruce must wonder what the hell goes on in the man's head at times. Sadly all mr allam is succeeding in doing is alienating the remaining good will of the fans with his constant foot stamping. If he wishes to prove a point with regards the HCC, which I am certain is at the base of all the name change chaos, the at least do it in a dignified way, make one statement, which resembles proper English and then leave it at that. Sadly the constant reminders he feels he has to give that he is a man of his word, that he will sell the club, etc etc are only serving to make him out to be a child throeing his toys out of the pram.
He's local but he lives in Kirk Ella and his business is in Melton, both of which are in the East Riding of Yorkshire, rather than Hull. Haven't you been reading the boundary threads?
I would hate to spend time with you, jeez! If I called you a pain in the arse, you would technically let me know it was my lower back!
Reasons to be changing part 2. It will bring in more money. Despite having had more than a year to prove this, still nothing. This new talk of a sponsor who was willing to pay 1 million more than our current one but walked away when the name change was rejected by the FA is in direct conflict with Ehab Allam, who said on camera that there was no sponsor linked to the Hull Tigers name. If there was such a sponsor, why havn't they come forward themselfs to say this, the free publicity for said company would be huge and for free.
From the third division to the Premier League. Didn't you go in our fourth division days? Only a word change? It is a change of name of the team. Newcastle Magpies would only be a word change. What do you think the reaction in Geordieland to that?
I've been told he's changed the way they are getting paid resulting in a pay cut, so some of them are hanging up their boots at the end of this month. The rest will be on less money.
