If he bought it for the community, he should abide by the wishes of the community when it comes to the name of the club. And the 'if you haven't got £30m you don't deserve an opinion' line is the weakest of all arguments, it's our club, it was before he arrived and it will be after he's gone.

No he can't. when buying a football club he has entered an agreement with the ruling body the FA to abide by their rules. The cash he's put in is a loan, he isn't from Hull and he doesn't live in Hull, nor is his business in Hull, but as people seem to keen on the East Riding, we'll maybe let you adopt him or something. Being rich isn't an excuse for doing something stupid, if there was any point to what he was doing, he might get more people on side, but any idiot can see it's utter bollocks.

All he has to do to change the name is withdraw from the FA and the Premier League and he can do what he wants. Until that time he has to abide by their rules. The FA said no to Hull Tigers like they said no to Whitehawk and Darlington. I don't know how much weight they gave the presentations of the OSC nor CTWD, neither do you. The Premier League rules said he has to consult the fans and he didn't. He made the application before the rigged vote. The campaign isn't about one word, its about our community, our history and our future. Finally, why not ask the programme sellers tomorrow whether they think he's a good employer. For some of them this may will be their last month working for him after years of service to Hull City.
