Even though he only started going last season, he still should understand that booing a pro-Hull City song is a ****s trick. Also, none of them would dare do it away.
Mostly cos they aren't there. The proportion of CTWD scarves held up on 19'04" at away games is a sight to behold.
So booing a city fan is the darkest day in our history but wishing another fan a slow and painful death is ok?
Aaahhhh so it is a protest song at 19:04!!! Great we have a break through. Now let ctwd issue a statement saying please stop singing that at 19:04 but at any other time yes.
We've issued a statement, it confirms there are no longer any protests, now all we need is for the club to issue a statement saying 'we're jacking in all this pointless ****e' and everyone will be happy.
You really are deluded if you think that we're going to stop singing this at 19.04, while our owner continues to kick and squeal over the name change rejection. I'll happily sing it for ever more, as a means of commemorating our fight and perhaps as a reminder to those spineless fans who simply don't have enough about them to realise how important the club name is.
You were told to start singing it at 19:04 Polly, if told by your glorious leaders, you'll stop it anarl.
We tried to get the We Say No chant stopped after the FA decision(despite it not being our chant), as we thought it was unnecessary, but there's too many disparate groups of fans singing it, it was impossible to stop it.
I wasn't "told" to start singing it; I noticed that it was being sung at 19.04 and thought it was an ace idea. I must admit though, if I HAD been "told" by the CTWD group I probably would've done so. On the other hand, if they decided to tell me not to sing it any more, I would ignore the request. You've got absolutely no chance of getting the better in this argument, Chazz. Feel free to keep coming back for more, though.
kinell Polly. Its not getting the better is it. I've said carry on singing and carry on booing what ever lights your candle. But no half arsed organisation should be issuing diktats telling people what to do. Think you may get drowned out at the next game tho mate, shame as i hear you've got a good voice.
I don't think it matters what instructions they are or are not giving out. Moreover, while you can call them half-arsed, there's absolutely no denying that they helped bring the name-change issue to the national attention. It just staggers me that there can be so much ill-will towards an organisation that was set up to preserve our club's name.
My ill will towards the organisation stems from the fact that they are chaired by a liar, take no responsibility for what they've started and continue to protest against an owner who, barring the name change, has done nothing wrong.
Mealy-mouthed bullshit. Apparently this Gretton chap hasn't been chairman for long. Are you saying you had no problem with them before he was in charge? As for not taking responsibility for what they started... what the **** are you on about? The only person who started anything was our owner, in trying to change the club's name, and following it up with some ridiculous statements. You don't deserve a football club you, yer ****.
Strangely enough, no I didnt have a problem with them until recently. The name won't change, nothing will change that. And yet they continue to protest. They en ouraged people to sing in protest, but refuse to eencourage them to stop. As for not deserving a football club, perhaps yoi would be happier if the KC just had the 2000 CTWD members in attendance. I support my club regardless, unlike you who will only support it if it meets your requirements.
I wish I could be bothered to trawl through your posting history on here to find something which refutes this claim. People are well within their rights to sing a chant that represents their efforts at fighting the name change and marks the fact that they will fight again, if ever some tries to do it. The fact that Mr Allam clearly would do it, were he allowed to, justifies it all the more. Your whinging about what CTWD do or don't tell people to do is pathetic. Bollocks. For a start, I do support my club, and I'd like a stadium full of people who support the club without feeling the need to sell out for the sake of Premier League football. Sadly, it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time yet. You support your club "regardless"? What, even if that means letting the owner change the name because he fell out with the council? I repeat - you don't deserve one.
Having read this thread and some of the other one about CTWD I am just astonished by the hatred towards this group. I am a member of CTWD, I have the scarf and paid my membership, even went to a meeting a few months ago. Everyone I have come across who is involved have been very nice people who have always made it obvious that they have no animosity towards the owners apart from the name change idea. Anyone with half a brain must see that it is a daft idea with no sound business foundation. It is just not good enough to keep saying "its his money, his club" etc etc. I sometimes sing at 19:04 and sometimes I don't, I can make my own mind up on that. So what if it is sung at that particular time, the owners have no problem with it. I do think the chant "we say no Allam" should come to an end now but how can CTWD be responsible for every single fan in that stadium and it would be wrong of them to try and tell people what they can and can't sing. Booing can NEVER be right. It adds nothing to the atmosphere, in fact at best it kills it and at worst it makes our ground a very hostile environment and will I fear at some point end up in fans really turning on each other. The FA made a decision, the name isn't changing. If people want to sing at 19:04 then why not, they are simply saying we have been Hull City since 1904. If you believe that we should be called Hull Tigers then make your own chant up and sing it for gods sake. Just don't boo and don't drive a bigger wedge between the supporters than Allam has already managed to do cos it is really killing people's enjoyment of what should be our best season ever.
