CTWD are just ordinary fans, ordinary people. To personally and anonymously call the chairman of CTWD a liar is, in my opinion, the actions of a total fanny, unless youâd be prepared to do it face to face. Remember, youâre not smearing the character of a politician, or some celebrity in the public spotlight, but just a normal City fan.
It's pathetic, isn't it? Because they know they can't win the argument over the matter of the name change, and because they know all right-minded football supporters think they're ****s, they'd rather focus on the character credentials of CTWD members.
I'd almost forgotten that captain caveman is that clown who always rings into radio blunder side post match blubbering a load of ****e.
From : http://notohulltigers.tumblr.com/ "Because City Till We Die have never been an anti-Allam organisation." I wonder of he had his hip flask with his personal opinion on it in his pocket when he signed that statement off. Remember, hes not just an ordinary fan, hes the chairman of a protest group that puts him in the public eye. Whats really pathetic you lot are as blinkered as Allam is, but can't see it. And?
You struggle to differentiate between the alleged thoughts of an individual and the mission and intents of a collective. I’d elaborate, but it’s been revealed that you’re one of those imbecilic tramps who, for some reason, telephones Radio Humberside. I shall not bother wasting my time. However, I will take the time to call you a recreant as it’s clear to everyone you wouldn’t have the balls to call him a liar to his face.
You really are a complete ****wit arent you. They arent alledged thoughts, he posted them on social media, and they are completely at odds with the supposed thoughts of the group he represents. As for saying stuff to peoples face, I doubt very much you would say half the stuff you do on here to people if they were stood infront of you.
The difference being is that I write to that person directly. The person you are smearing possibly doesn’t even know that you’re writing about them to even have a chance to defend themselves. I’ve not done that on this forum and I’ll happily address any such issues if and when they arise. And you?
The only way to see if Hull Tigers is a good idea, if it brings in more money, is to try it. I'm not sure if it will work but I think it's worth a try. I want City to be self-sufficient as much as possible to stand a chance of being run by a supporters' trust a la Swansea. I'd prefer them to be called Hull Tigers surviving on better sponsorship, even in the Championship than stay as Hull City dependent on the LLoyds, Hinchcliffe's and Bartletts of this world. It'd also PERHAPS get rid of factions within the fans .... fans who are not members of any supporters club, the OSC and CTWD not getting along ..... I can see more supporters' pressure groups starting ..... the tweets of CTWD's chairman and the perceived baiting of the Allams buy an element over which CTWD means I cannot see CTWD thriving .... far from it .... Angie Rowe was the more "fragrant" face of fan power able to garner support from mainstream fans but hip flasks, expletive filled chants and tweets, abuse and baiting has pretty much killed CTWD's "brand"
From CTWD web site "We don’t know what will happen with name change now but regardless, it’s felt that there is a space for a Hull City supporters’ organisation. Its form is up for discussion. 4. Election of a Chairman One formal nomination for the role was received: M. Gretton Candidate spoke briefly about himself: • Helped formulate the strategy of original group. • Key role in the media sub-group of the original. • Member of team CTWD sent to meet the FA. • Lead role in producing written media messages. • Chaired monthly meetings. Agreed from the floor that M. Gretton should be the Chairman of CTWD. M. Gretton thanked everyone for turning up. Explained the group agonised over moving the meeting when the Arsenal game was moved. M. Gretton thanked the original CTWD committee for the work it did and what it achieved. M.Gretton placed on record his gratitude to the members of the original group who would not be standing for office in CTWD - K. Ogram, K. Ellis, A. Medcalf, A. Beill, F. Beill, M. Beill, M. Gothard, C. Jackson, A. Dalton, L. Motherby & J. Greenwood." Yeah .... your average City fan really wants to be represented by comedians as "media savvy" as hip flask man. What's the point in putting all this effort into meetings, minutes and statements if the "big cheese" can't control a Twitter account. CTWD have no credibility .... the silent majority are so fed up with CTWD and the protests, CTWD have actually managed to get them booing. Some achievement .... such vitriol is normally reserved for Romanian refs!
Smearing? So you deny Mark Gretton, chairman of CTWD has a hip flask engraved with the words "F*** You Allam C***"? and that he tweeted a picture of the flask making it clear everyone understood the inscription by including that as well?
No it isn't. The Allams have had their business case reviewed and it was found lacking. Experts in the field have considered the general principle and few if any feel it's credible. That's hardly surprising given that there is no business case for something that's clearly just a petulant reaction to the local authority.
The CTWD committee consists of a collection of well meaning amateurs, competing against the professional power wealth can bring. Care to stack up the faux pas of each and everyone in that group against those of the one man on the other side? I reckon the Allams PR machine would be happy if it was just one tweet from months back they had to deal with.
silent majority? - not one boo at Newcastle - not one part-time prem parasite boo-boy to be seen or heard - as Lauro said on Radio 5 yesterday, 'the away fans are the real fans'
Assem Allam is perfectly free to test how good an idea Hull Tigers is. He can withdraw from the FA and The Premier League and then call the club what he wants. The FA considered the submissions from the OSC and CTWD as well as Hull City Tigers Limited and others before rejecting the name change application.
Yes ... we'll see. Sensible reply so thanks for that. If Dr. Allam can't get it passed by the FA, I suppose there's little more he can do, In Holland PSV is, if I remember correctly, connected with Philips. In Hull, and I presume elsewhere, teams were named after where they worked .... Ideal Standard, Reckitts etc. so unless none of these teams were allowed in the FA because of their names, Dr. Allam may yet win and I'd applaud that. As I said, Hull Comet became Hull City and things change, even after 100 odd years .... Dr. Allam ended years of tradition at Hull City by having no respect for transfer records breaking them at will, the tradition of not even making the FA Cup quarter finals, gone, the same with the semi finals, he went the whole hog and dared take Hull City to an FA Cup final and into Europe for the first time ... I suspect he may actually know what he's doing when it comes to running a football club .... certainly more than a nurse tweeting pictures of his expletive filled hip flask. CTWD? I reckon they're finished.
I wonder how much of our position is down to the Allam's increasing the club debt, and how much is down to Steve Bruce's management skills. A few more 'clear the air' press conferences and the right position cropping up elsewhere and we could find out.
