he said he doesn't care about the club. he's a neutral. i don't want to know what a neutral thinks.
As are the allams, in his interview Ehab stated they aren't supporters, just businessmen
he said he doesn't care about the club. he's a neutral. i don't want to know what a neutral thinks.
Rather than just being angry with you, I'll come back to ask a question:
I have zero doubt whatsoever that Allam's end-game is to have a non-geographically linked football team. After changing the name to Hull Tigers the next step in his plan is to remove the word Hull. He also wants us to have our home outside of the city in a nondescript place. Think the Juventus model if you like, not linked to a city in any way and therefore the best supported club in the country by an absolute mile. I think they have 5 times more registered fans than any other Italian club.
So to the question....
If Allam gets his initial name change and stays on as owner, when does it become 'a step too far'? You say you support the team from Hull, will you support his team if he moves them out of the city's boundary? He has already very publicly said he wants to do this so if he wins his initial name change battle he will view it that he has a mandate to move the stadium. I mean, the fans can hardly complain, he's already said he wants to do this. And then what if he drops the name Hull so it simply become Tigers - is that too far for you?
You're just called a ****ing **** on here if you do that.

I wasn't there tonight.
But my feeling as a city fan is that it isn't against the name. It's against the protest against the name change. It's a different thing all together.
Like ctwd say, it's not a protest against the owner just the name change.
Tonight was against the protest not the name.
Does that make sense?
Just because some are not as worried about change as others does not mean they are not supporters that is pathetic and that is not rocket science either, some think Allam has done a good job and knows what he is doing in business and think if he thinks changing the name helps then so be it they will give him the chance obviously others don't think that way most are supporters but have different opinions of the situation so opinion does matter it seems.

Beat me to it Balkan , great minds!
Anyone else think that this their exit strategy ?
FA won't change the name, that arguments lost.
They can't sustain the spending.
Have to get out.
Out of spite they've now divided the supporters.
I think a supporter is all of the above, and on the name change subject i like our name now and hope it can be resolved amicably but i am not going to change my life if it changes, Allam has done good for this club and as potty as he may be he is doing most things good for the club so i won't berate him over a name change and i very much appreciate and support what he has done for this club.
Yes, exactly that. Anyone who boos their own fans for chanting about the team's name is a massive c**t and will always be a ****. Hope I cleared that up for you.![]()

Hull City AFC
I love this club. Why? because I'm from hull. It's my team.
So......
We change our name!
We're now Hull Tigers.
I love this club. Why? Because I'm from hull. It's my team.
If the owner bought the stadium and called it the Allam Marine Arena, would you care?
Having read the views about supporters for and against its obvious that those that oppose the name change think they support the club more than any other city fan. To the point they'll not even consider the argument.
Those who want the name change are being called glory fans who only watch premier league football.
I'm 31. I've watched city play since I was 6. 1989 was my first game. But all hear from ex Man U and Liverpool fans is "I was at boothferry park", so was I. I loved Kenny Dalglish and Alan shearer and my parents had sky and I watched the premier league since it's first whistle. Just because my dad took me 3 times a season all those years ago doesn't mean I can say, I was there, when we were locked out blah blah ****ing blah.
I was. I did put my hand in my pocket. Only because my dad put the penny's in my hand.
Now all those that boo'd tonight are being called traitors because they're going against the club.
What a load of ****. If Mr Allam didn't come in, then we might have gone bust. If we had, what name do you think we'd have picked to start as a new club?
Hull Tigers would be flying high!
And we'd all be grateful
Just because you think that does not make it fact. Have you any evidence that this is his aim?
He wanted to buy the KC and develop it. The suggestion of a move was only to facilitate a new larger stadium if he couldn't get the KC. Many teams move to out of town stadia. Land is cheaper, access is better, parking is better etc. Did you kick up this fuss when we moved from Fer Ark? Was that all part of a conspiracy as well?
And they would be right. That's the point really some think they are real supporters and think others are not because they don't agree with their opinion.
^This, this, this^This is the worst thread I have ever read on this or any other messageboard.
Our fans are simply a disgrace, the worst in the whole of football. Everton change the badge slightly and there are protests, boycotts and the club rollover and give the fans what they want. It's the FANS club afterall. And this was just a badge, clubs modify them regularly. Our owner on the other hand - a man who knows nothing about football and to this day thinks we are called Hull City Tigers - tries to change the name, THE one constant in our club's entire history. And what do our fans do in response? They rollover and get arsef**ed cos they want to see Stevie G on our pitch.
What a bunch of absolute c**ts.
Why does it have to be an argument? I'm just expressing an open view without opinion
Apart from the fact that I support the football team from hull.

And therein lies the problem, because they clearly DON'T believe in anything beyond the short termism and instant gratification of the Premier League. They probably also think the X-Factor is a good way to see new musical talent emerging and alternate between voting Labour and Tory, depending on which party is going to benefit them the most. It's funny that those pro-name change haven't offered any substance to support their claims other than "why not?"
Do you people just sit back and take everything? Stand up for what you believe in, why let someone rich do something just because they're rich.
-- In a rather potentially childish comparison (albeit not as bad as comparing us to a brand of sweet!):
If I saved you from drowning and/or saved you from bankruptcy does your gratitude mean I get to have a go on your wife? What's that? No? But I saved your life!!
