I did it easily but my wife's attempts kept getting rejected.

There were plenty of buckets by the way.

This should be hugely national though, they really should have attempted more up-front publicity. If ever there was a potential TV documentary this was it! Hopefully, it might yet get picked up and take off as it deserves. I've don't know of anything that comes close to it.

I have now made my donation electronically and received a receipt so I am very pleased.

At the match I arrived via Melbourne Street from St Mary's church but had to go all around the back of the fun fair and in via the north end of the Kingsland.

I didn't see a single bucket.

I wish I had as I had a lovely crisp £20 note to put in it.

I didn't even see the nice young woman who always sells me a couple of Saints Foundation tickets either so maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.

And they were almost the size of a single bed sheet as well. Quite rightly described as the most beautiful bank notes in history.

Yeah. They were mostly folded up into quarters, I believe. Watch any British film from the era of 1940-50s, where a character hands over some large note. Chances are it's a white fiver. Bloody enormous they were.
 
Does anyone know how the electronic donations to Benali's Big Run work? Do they just send you a bill you can pay with Paypal or what?

I haven't donated yet because I don't know if they will accept USD, or if the fees charged to convert currency will render a donation pointless.

Each nomination is considered on its merits so, if you want to nominate someone for an honour, you should be sure that there are substantial objective reasons for doing so.

The form should be completed with the following details:
  • the person’s full name, address, date of birth (if known) or age; and
  • full details of service to the community, with dates, in the area for which the nomination is being made; and
  • a summary of the particular achievements/qualities which make them outstanding
  • the nominator’s name, address and relationship to the nominee.
At least two letters of support from other members of the community who have first hand knowledge of the nominee’s activities should be sent, either with the form or separately.
The completed form and letter of support should be sent to:-
  • for nominees resident in England, the Nominations Unit (see above for address)
  • for nominees resident in Wales or Scotland - see below
  • the government department to which that person’s work is directly relevant (this would include people who work for that government department or people whose service has made a particular contribution in the field for which that department is responsible
 
Franny was on TalkSport late last night (roughly 11ish?) if someone could find it (I'm no good at that!!) was quite interesting.

It is one of many charity engagements this year, including running a half-marathon with friend Matt Le Tissier in aid of the Dave Wellman Cancer Trust, of which he is a patron.
“Charity work has always been important to me,” says the 44-year-old, who made more than 350 appearances during his Saints career.
“For me and other players at Southampton FC it was a big part of my work. It was our duty, I think, to play an active role within the community, so supporting charities was always a big part of my professional as well as personal life.”
