Ha ha not sure I saw him "live" but remember him from notts county... Either late 70s or very early 80s
Why did you ask?
Just that I saw his name in the Leicester match day programme photo and I wondered if it triggered anything in any of the members here. He's very much a name of the past, but at one point he was one of the most expensive footballers playing in the UK.
I never knew the last bit. Just looked him up and obviously didn't see him at Sheff Utd!
Yeah, I didn't know about the Sheff Utd bit either, until recently when I also looked his details up. But I do remember him playing against us. Think he may have scored against us too. He was one of those players who wasn't a prolific goal scorer but he made a big difference to a side. When he was with Chelsea he got very close to being an England player as I remember, and there were a lot of contenders in those days.
It was him and Tony Currie famous for their kiss.

Such a shame the total is so far off. At least the dogs home in Manchester raised 1.5M in two days at the same time! Still, we did our bit for Franny.
It's a big achievement...he just set too high a target. Glad he's back on side at the club...not that he really left us.
£182,000 plus change so far, a magnificent achievement. I don't think the actual target really matters, it's just something to aim for.
