A girl who was offered £3, by a homeless man, to help with her taxi fare home, late at night, after she'd lost all her card and cash, has raised over £20,000 in a matter of days for him. She opened a Facebook page, told the story, and the money just flooded in. This was in Preston, Lancashire. Perhaps they're just more generous in the North..? On the other hand, I have felt that the word just hasn't got out well enough. I don't think people realised the magnitude of what he took on. I'm sure Franny could have raised that amount, if all the right buttons had been pushed. His personal endeavour was staggering.
