Your stupidity is only matched by your inability to read.

"If we didn't bail out the banks we would have a lot less debt."

The National debt stands at £1.4trn NOT INCLUDING FINANCIAL INTERVENTIONS. That means that the bank bail-outs are not included, that means that your statement above is completely wrong as the bank debt is not on the balance sheet.

"We would still have the same amount of Tory blame politics though. And the same amount of thick ****ers like you only too willing to jump on the band wagon."

It's not blame, it's facts. We can't shift a huge debt burden without cutting back on excesses. Whether that is the UK or Scotland then it's still the same problems.

"Oh Edge we are lying .......WE LIE.! You're just to ****ing spasticated to realise we lie."

What does that even mean...? WAIT... Posted Yesterday, 10:38 PM <-- Pished again <doh>

Westminster, under Labour and the Tories, ran up the massive debt. The Tories put in place a brutal austerity plan. Labour have said the will continue that plan if they're elected.

Has the debt been reduced? No.

Go on and on about the national debt all you like. It's the failure of successive Westminster government's that got us here. On September 18th you have a chance to break free from it.

The current US president has Kenyan heritage - it bears no passing on who rules Kenya.

You are a typical lefty, criticise everything and offer no plausible solution to the things you criticise... Tell me, Julian, tell all of us. How do you propose to pay the debts owed by UKplc?

You can't reduce the debt if you continue to run a deficit. The Tories are committed to running a trade surplus within the next parliament, should they get elected. That in turn means that they can start paying down the debt.

Brutal austerity is what has happened in Greece, Ireland and Portugal, you can't call what the UK has experienced as a brutal austerity. Sure it's been tough, but 95% of us got by. The three aforementioned states all lost hundreds of thousand of their brightest people who had to migrate for work.

As I pointed out yesterday, if Scotland becomes independent, Scotland WILL be subjected to higher borrowing costs... AND if the Scottish government embarks on a path of not paying down its debt (or at least be seen as being frivolous) then they will be forced to pay even higher borrowing costs... so for Salmond to commit to pay higher benefits, pay higher pensions, pay £5k of childcare and cut taxes (which he has promised), well you can assume that the markets will not look kindly upon Scotland increasing its budget deficit as a newly independent state and will increase borrowing costs

Whether it is the UK or Scotland, both State and Country face the ticking timebomb of pensions and until someone grows a set of balls and opens the can of worms, then whether it is Scotland, the UK or the West in general, the great degeneration will continue unabated.

    ****s

Didn't read this. Same old, same old I suspect.

40 years of north sea oil and trillions in related tax revenue yet we have a debt of £1.4bn and rising. That's Westminster's doing. Nothing less than economic vandalism.

You can't give me a plausible solution because you don't have one.

You can moan about past decisions being 'mistakes', which are subjective, but you always duck the real issues, the future decisions which are the one that matter.

If Scotland becomes independent and embarks on the insane economic path that Salmond is promising, then you'll know all about austerity within 5 years when the country is ****ed.

By, hey... economics? They don't matter eh?

ST was blaming Westminster for ****ing things up, and I was just pointing out that lots of the top members of each of the parties in power were scottish or scottish roots.

You can't say that the English ****ed you over, it was a team effort.
