So why were Joe and Dan banned? For disagreeing or?
Those two contribute quite a lot to this forum (like them or not) seems a bit odd to ban them when they've not done anything other than take the piss as far as I can see?

Yeah, they were just taking the piss and making a cheeky/humorous comment. I chuckled at it anyway.
People seem to be taking things to heart tonight, for one reason or another.
I'm sure it's just a suspension. I can't see any reason for them to have been permanently banned.
Even still, it was hardly worthy of suspension. If people get suspended for a cheeky pisstake now and then, I may have to reconsider.
Because if that is the case, it's a real shame and not the forum I signed up to when 606 went to the wall.
If anything in their comments broke the rules sufficiently to merit a ban, there wouldn't be a single person left on this forum.
Well I don't want to get too judgey until we've had a response from the fella (it could conceivably have been any of the mods) who banned them. You never know!
It's that sort of action that'll turn people away from the forum all together.
A moderator has posted on this since we raised our concerns. But only to ask someone to retract a highly critical comment, not to address the issue.
Sadly that's only going to drag people's bad feeling on further.
Yeeeeep, we need a statement here mods! Why were they banned, which bit of the rules specifically have they broken? Make a new thread and make sure you leave it unlocked so we can reply.
We'll eventually get a half-statement, followed by the thread being immediately locked. Then, a thread will pop up titled "Free Dan and Joe" or some such, which too will be locked, and the thread-starter probably given a suspension. Half the forum will involve discussion of it for the next week or thereabouts, thus completely undermining the original intent of the message-sending suspensions.
These situations all inevitably go the same way.
There is no issue to address.....you yourself said they were taking the piss if I quote your words......The mods saw it differently....
