A synonym is an equivalent word in a specific context. It's the context thing people often overlook. Synonyms are not normally precisely the same word with precisely the same definition (though there are a few exact synonyms in English). Hence, the "East" in a certain context, be a synonym of "Russia", but that does not mean their definitions are the same. The definitions of either in the dictionary will be very different (apart from one note under "East"). So Hodor can be both stocky and burly, Martin Johnson can be burly but not stocky and Gimli can be stocky but not burly.
I'm very happy with the O'Neil signing. He is just the sort of player for a brief (positive) stint in the Championship
St Etienne isn't it? Some websites are confirming it and their coach came out and said he was class, but I don't think we have
Tony Fernandez has started following Leroy Fer on Twitter. Doesn't mean anything, but also at the same time I do find that very unprofessional... But then what else do we expect from him!
GetWestLondon are reporting that QPR aren't as interested now they've signed Mutch, which makes sense tbh
I think Rangers might not be quite so keen having signed Jordon Mutch now ..... I still think he'll be off but not to QPR - maybe The Saints ?
This is, officially, by some considerable margin, your funniest ever post. Congratulations. Your actuary recommends retirement right now.
Rob, don't make a point of context, and then choose to ignore it. Hooper can be considered burly. If you wish to be so focussed on unimportant detail (something you are selfcritical of) then that is your issue. When I look at Hooper, I feel he fits that description. Now if you wish to mention the whole target man thing, that is fine and I have already stated he is not. But, he is burly, stocky, thick set or any one of a selection of likewise terms. His chest is like a double decker bus.
